After two seasons on the air, TNT has cancelled Dark Blue. No season three for Carter Shaw and his LAPD team.
Dark Blue stars Dylan McDermott as the leader of an undercover unit whose members are so covert that some of the members of the department don’t even know they’re involved. The rest of the cast includes Omari Hardwick, Logan Marshall-Green, Nicki Aycox, and Tricia Helfer.
The cancellation of the cop drama doesn’t come as much of a surprise. Despite a decline in ratings, the series was renewed for a second season last December. The second round of 10 episodes began airing in August and the numbers were worse than they’d been in year one.
Season two averaged a 0.6 rating in the key 18-49 demographic and 2.25 million total viewers. Those figures make the series the worst performer of TNT’s summer season and ripe for cancellation.
Dark Blue ended its run with two episodes on September 15th.

I am so sad to see a good show being cancelled I really enjoyed the program could you have put it in a better time slot. To me is was more real then all the others on the air.
This is ridiculous Dark Blue was a good show. I think they should have changed the time slot. Please bring it back.
I LOVED THIS SHOW! THERE’S NO WAY THIS SHOW HAD BAD RATINGS. I THOUGHT THIS WAS ONE OF THE BEST SERIES ON TV! MAYBE ANOTHER CHANNEL NEEDS TO PICK IT UP B/C THAT WOULD PROBABLY HELP ALOT! BRING IT BACK!!!

Sorry to learn of this cancellation. We had just discovered this show and LOVED IT! Maybe It;s not too late for them to recognize that the show was awesome just needed a new time slot. Sooooo much talent in front of and behiind the cameras.
I loved that show and really wished they would have out it on earlier in the evening, maybe then the ratings might have been better…Either way I miss the show and would like to know if both seasons are available on dvd…

I loved this show. I can’t belive it had bad ratings!!!!!!! I WAS EVEN HOPING THAT THE SHOW WILL MOVE TO FALL SEASON WITH MORE EPISODES. I am very sad for this cancelation 🙁
I’m so sorry to see this series ended. It was one of my favorite shows. I’m really going to miss the show. Please bring it back
What a shame! Such a good show – even bought Season 1 since I didn’t start watching till Season 2. Jerry Bruckheimer did a great job with this how and had a terrific cast! Very disappointing!

I am very sad to see that Dark Blue has been cancelled! To me this was one of my favorite shows! I really loved the cast and the plot of the show! I don’t see how the show got bad ratings! I think that is a bunch of bull! I WANT THE SHOW BACK ON AIR!! PLEASE BRING IT BACK!
i thought you should tried to find a better time slot for the show….I thought you could have done alot more with the story lines….
