Is there still hope for Dark Matter? Recently, co-creator Joseph Mallozzi suggested there may be a chance for another season of the cancelled Syfy TV show.
As reported earlier, Syfy recently cancelled the space-set drama after three seasons. The cast includes Marc Bendavid, Melissa O’Neil, Anthony Lemke, Alex Mallari Jr, Jodelle Ferland, Roger Cross, and Zoie Palmer.
On his blog, Mallozzi revealed that other networks have expressed interest in saving Dark Matter. However, the co-creator also mentioned that time is running out to save the show as both the crew and the cast can’t wait forever.

Been waiting for another season. Great ideas embedded in the show. entertaining and thought-provoking–what more could the sci-fi fans want?
SyFy standard operating procedure; kill any creative, intelligent science fiction to free up more air time for dirt cheap, braindead reality shows and wrestling (!!). If anyone got their hopes up that SyFy might be going back to its roots as The Science Fiction Network with shows like Dark Matter and The Expanse, this move pretty clearly shows they have no interest. If they can squeeze one extra dime out of the junk content that generally fills their network, they have no qualms about killing good shows to do so.

I stumbled on it halfway into season 2 after restoring a live streaming service again (had done just OTA and on-demand for a while). Loved the series… actually binge-watched DM first and then Killjoys and then Expanse. At least they kept KJ’s… But the decision to drop DM is baffling. Story was built up well, and felt like a show that would grow it’s audience as well. They were also aired in a good window so they didn’t compete with other popular shows like Shield and Dr. Who. Loved the show hoping for season four
I love this show. Please, please, oh please let Season 4 close the gap that would be left wide open with the cliffhanger at the end of Season 3,

I would definitely watch Season 4. I’ve watched it from the very beginning. And it can’t end with the Season 3 cliffhanger
Yes, I would love to see the final 2 season story arc completed as it should be. If not, at least an abbreviated season 4 to close out the majority of the cliffhangers would be good.

I don’t know what those clowns at syfy are doing, but it would honestly be a bad idea not to let Dark Matter finish off the series properly. Even if you want to make room for other shows. Give them a weekend next year to wrap up season four like you did with season four of 12 monkeys in May 2017. Dark Matter has a lot of fans. Why cancel it!
