What’s This TV Show About?
A Syfy space opera, Dark Matter stars Marc Bendavid, Melissa O’Neil, Anthony Lemke, Alex Mallari Jr, Jodelle Ferland, Roger Cross, and Zoie Palmer. The science fiction drama series follows the crew of a derelict spaceship who awake with no memory of who they are or how they got on board. Still, they must work together to survive a threatening voyage charged with vengeance, betrayal, and plenty of secrets.
Season Three Ratings
The third season of Dark Matter averaged a 0.15 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 608,000 viewers. Compared to season two, that’s down by 13% and down by 10%, respectively. Find out how Dark Matter stacks up against other Syfy TV shows.

Telly’s Take
Season three premiered with mediocre numbers but the ratings for Dark Matter have remained pretty consistent. Syfy seems to believe in the program since they added an after show — After Dark — this season. Dark Matter also airs on the Space channel in Canada, so its fate largely depends on its success north of the border. I suspect that we will see a fourth season. I was heartbroken when I found out this show was cancelled. Maybe Netflix, Amazon, or Hulu will be a hero and pick up production on future seasons.
This is terrible…first Serenity, a great space drama…now Dark Matter? Can a guy who likes great sci-fi win? Dark Matter has to be renewed; if not on Sci-Fi Channel then elsewhere…
I am very upset they are not finishing the storyline to at least a real ending..its sad that these characters don’t have a real ending..smh
what a disappointment. Revealing slashes of future events then cutting off the series shows very poor taste. How you like to buy a book and find out the last 100 pages were never written

It should have been renewed!!!!! Dark Matter is my favorite tv show and i really wanted to see what was going to happen. I really don’t know why syfy would cancel this show is funny, had relatable charaters, had very diverse characters, and over all enjoyed by everyone. Please can some tv network or streaming service continue the series without altering it.
They have got to have another season We don’t know what happened to Sarah The Black Ships The other dimension 2 There are too many loose ends
Awesome show, great plot and there’s always a surprise or two in every episode. I truly hope the series comes back for a few more seasons. Kudos to the actors.. they make the whole endeavor an entertainment nirvana.
Please bring this show back for Season 4. My boyfriend hates all TV and this is the only show that he will watch with me. Why do they always cancel the really good shows?? I really hope Netflix picks the show up. Is there a petition we can sign or something? How can we express our outrage about this cancellation?
I think its time to create a New TV station for all these shows that keep getting Canceled… With New rules on How they stay alive…..With a new board who takes a real look at viewers NOT Just Viewing Numbers….
Besides Dark Matter and a few others are already cutting edge scifi….And cut them makes no sense…just stupid…..
I really got hooked on this show and just finished season 3 and then with research found out that its been cancelled which is really disappointing with all the build up. I thought it was a great show with a great cast. this really sucks.
OKAY we have a job to do it seems the rasa has been lost somewhere between the past and the future rating with the blink drive. Suggest we bring them back if we ever hope see Portia beautiful ass ever again and Boobi Android. Let’s Max these ratings. And Portia one day I want u to sit on my face
Was thrilled to find this amazing show and am more than disappointed to find out it’s already been cancelled.
I’m not much of a TV viewer because most shows are either one long boring joke or one long boring sex romp. When I find something worth watching the low ratings monster gobbles it up.
Will miss the friends/not friends rivalry-banter of Three and Six.
A two-hour movie to wrap things up would have been nice.
EXTREMELY disappointed this show was not picked up for a wrap up Season 4. I am not sure about people responsible for making these decisions , but they need a new job.
