Did you miss Day Break on ABC last night? If so, you’re certainly not alone. We’ve been innundated with emails and traffic from people looking for details on what’s happened to the Taye Diggs series.
For those who don’t know, Day Break has been pulled from primetime by ABC after just six episodes due to low ratings. The on-going storyline is hardly resolved with seven unaired episodes left in the season. ABC has said they will post episodes (one per week) on their website but many people don’t have a powerful enough computer, can’t access the Internet long enough to watch, don’t have a fast Internet connection or, for many other reasons, simply can’t view the episodes. In short, millions of people who could have seen future episodes on free network television, will never see this excellent series — and we think the decision-makers should know.
So, we’re inviting you to sign a petition that asks the network and the production companies (Gross Entertainment and Touchstone Television) to release the series so that more people can see it — to return the series to network TV or at the least, to release it on DVD. With enough interest, there could even be a second season or a movie.
Let your friends, neighbors and co-workers know — anyone who misses Day Break — where they can find this petition. Naturally, the more names are collected, the better.

We, the undersigned have enjoyed much of your programming, particularly the outstanding Day Break series. We have enjoyed the Taye Diggs series each week and are dismayed that it has been pulled from the primetime schedule.
We believe that the ratings have not accurately shown the show’s popularity for success. After just six episodes, we believe that Day Break was not given enough time to fully establish a potentially huge audience. Please remember that many very popular shows like MASH, 24 and Cheers were not immediate hits.
We understand that ABC is posting the remaining episodes online but, for a variety of reasons, millions of people are not able to see these episodes — resulting in lost viewership for you and disappointment and frustration for them.
We respectfully request that you return Day Break to network television and to consider continuing production of further episodes or even a film. At the very least, we ask that you make the existing episodes available to a wider audience via a DVD release.

I finished watching the Series today and I’m really upset that ABC canceled this series. This is easily one of the best series on television and it only failed because ABC allowed it to fail. Bare in mind that ABC, heck all networks for that matter, have conditioned the American public to pretty much not care. I just finished watching the last episode. This series was outstanding. I’m telling all my family, friends and co-workers to watch this online. I’m even considering having some “Daybreak” parties and invite everyone over! (If only I could hook the internet up to my big tv. Ahem…ABC…DVD please!!!) Daybreak has a great cast of characters, and an addictive plot. I even started setting my alarm clock to 6:18am! I was very disappointed when it went off the air. I just finished watching Daybreak, the lost episodes, and it is AWESOME!!! Please, please, please put it back on the air. Diggs is perfect as an action hero. He is beautiful to look at, a fabulous actor, and the writing is brilliant. I love this series!!! We need it on DVD as well. Thank you!
Daybreak; amazingly awesome piece of entertainment – I was hooked from start to finish. ABC executives; unbelievably poor decision to cancel the show! Redeem yourselves by releasing it on DVD; it’s the least you could do…

Day Break caught my attention and my family. We are very disappointed when you canceled it. You need to give it a second chance. It was not long enough to rate the show as a failure.

the beuty of the show was that for such a simple theme it was so action packed gripping and it always kept fresh twists for me. all due respect i feel this is what is needed by those who make such decissions
I have been watching this on Bravo in the UK and was hooked from episode one! It is an excellent series, great acting, great plot. Why do the really great shows get axed by American TV companies? BRING IT BACK FOR A SECOND SEASON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sometimes snap decisions have long term effects. Re-think this error and bring back Day Break. Dejavu was and is a great concept… what if? answers questions we as fans wonder all the time, not to mention the countless story lines that can be developed from such a premise. PLEASE BRING IT BACK!
