Did you miss Day Break on ABC last night? If so, you’re certainly not alone. We’ve been innundated with emails and traffic from people looking for details on what’s happened to the Taye Diggs series.
For those who don’t know, Day Break has been pulled from primetime by ABC after just six episodes due to low ratings. The on-going storyline is hardly resolved with seven unaired episodes left in the season. ABC has said they will post episodes (one per week) on their website but many people don’t have a powerful enough computer, can’t access the Internet long enough to watch, don’t have a fast Internet connection or, for many other reasons, simply can’t view the episodes. In short, millions of people who could have seen future episodes on free network television, will never see this excellent series — and we think the decision-makers should know.
So, we’re inviting you to sign a petition that asks the network and the production companies (Gross Entertainment and Touchstone Television) to release the series so that more people can see it — to return the series to network TV or at the least, to release it on DVD. With enough interest, there could even be a second season or a movie.
Let your friends, neighbors and co-workers know — anyone who misses Day Break — where they can find this petition. Naturally, the more names are collected, the better.

We, the undersigned have enjoyed much of your programming, particularly the outstanding Day Break series. We have enjoyed the Taye Diggs series each week and are dismayed that it has been pulled from the primetime schedule.
We believe that the ratings have not accurately shown the show’s popularity for success. After just six episodes, we believe that Day Break was not given enough time to fully establish a potentially huge audience. Please remember that many very popular shows like MASH, 24 and Cheers were not immediate hits.
We understand that ABC is posting the remaining episodes online but, for a variety of reasons, millions of people are not able to see these episodes — resulting in lost viewership for you and disappointment and frustration for them.
We respectfully request that you return Day Break to network television and to consider continuing production of further episodes or even a film. At the very least, we ask that you make the existing episodes available to a wider audience via a DVD release.

I really want to know how and why he was in the time warp cycle. Did someone put him in it somehow? What was the purpose of putting it in the story-line? It had to be connected to the rest of the plot line, or at least a separate plot created to make sense of it. The show could have just simply been a criminal investigation / fugitive story without the time warp, but it’s so much more interesting with time warp, if there’s a good reason for the added sci-fi / time travel / deja-vu aspect. Would someone PLEASE tell me that we will eventually find out at least where the story line was going after the final scene in the finale? No spoiler here — but I want to know who was that last person we saw? Why were they smiling? Was it gladness or smugness? Where were the writers going to take the story???? Pulling this show with so many loose ends is tantamount to NBC scheduling Friday Night Lights on FRIDAY NIGHTS!!! When people who “get” the high school football mentality will BE AT FOOTBALL GAMES! I cannot watch Daybreak at it’s original time because I work nights, but I catch back episodes online. It is one of the greatest shows on televeison at this time. We do not have a lot of African Americans representing good, solid shows and it would be ashame that this one would be canceled. Please reconsider. Thank you.
really like this show. i got caught up online. but why can’t it be on TV? Great actors, brilliant script and just plain fun. I definitely put in my vote. I’m SSOOOOOO tired of reality crap. Why do you think America’s Biggest Talent is so popular? Hmmm…because it is highly promoted, that is all.
Weaklings 🙂 In Holland we got the whole series, I really liked it, it was actually the first series I watched all episode of and stayed at home for to see it. I also enjoyed Joey, guess what, they killed that show and we cant buy it on DVD in Holland, probably that will happen to Day Break aswell. day break has a very unique story line that points it out from all other series.we need such stuff on tv.so abc better do whats best

I watched the first episode and was hooked, some high quality programme-making for a change with excellent story lines plus good acting. Managed to see the whole series in the end. Release the DVD guys and make up for the mess you made with the decision to pull it early.

What a great, creative show. Thanks for posting all unaired episodes online. But please give us more! At the very least a dvd release with all the extras you can give us! Taye – I’m a new fan! Next time give the show a chance to catch on – it was a perfect replacement for us LOST fans.
Is anyone else having trouble with the episode player? I’m really torqued off. The last 2 episodes will not load for me.
I was really upset something I liked and that’s not saying much, but this was a good one. I don’t like being left in the dark please sell the show to cable so I can see the ending.Mr.Diggs is great in this. At least put it on DVD.
