After posting a series low in the ratings last night, ABC has decided against ordering additional episodes of Dirty Sexy Money. Does that mean it’s cancelled?
Dirty Sexy Money follows nice-guy lawyer Nick George (Peter Krause) who takes over his late father’s only client, the wealthy and powerful Darling family. Tripp Darling (Donald Sutherland) is incredibly influential but is living proof that money isn’t everything. His relationships with his wife Letitia (Jill Clayburgh) and their five grown children is sometimes shaky at best. His adult children are politician Patrick (William Baldwin), promiscuous Karen (Natalie Zea), corrupt clergyman Brian (Glenn Fitzgerald), and immature, party-loving twins Jeremy (Seth Gabel) and Juliet (Samaire Armstrong). Other characters are played by Blair Underwood, Zoe McLellan, Lucy Liu, Will Shadley, Laura Margolis, Bellamy Young, Candis Cayne, Shawn Michael Patrick, Chloe Moretz, Sheryl Lee, Andrea Smithson, and Daniel Cosgrove.
Money debuted in September 2007 on ABC. The premiere episode attracted 10.44 million people and a 3.6/12 rating /share of the 18-49 demographic. The following episodes dropped considerably in the ratings but ABC decided to take a chance and renewed Money for a second season.

Since its return on October 1st, the ratings haven’t gotten any better. Last night’s viewership represented a series low. As a result, ABC has decided against ordering any additional episodes for the season, effectively cancelling the show. There’s a slight chance that Money could return in the future but, with its ratings history, that’s not likely to happen.
The cast and crew are currently finishing up shooting the final episode. It’s not known if it will include any kind of closure for the show’s ongoing storylines.
For now, Money remains on the ABC schedule. If the network pulls it before airing all of the episodes, they’ll likely be released online or, at the very least, be issued on DVD. Stay tuned!

this show is so good. Dramatic but funny, entertaining, pokes fun at themselves.
they’re just as screwed up as every other family.
And please, have the amazing Donald Sutherland more often.
It has money, brains, beauty, comedy and mystery.

i love this show i feel like this family is part of me it is just as good as desperste housewives if not better, i need another series if america dont like it enough bring it to the uk, everyone i ni loves it, BRING IT BACK NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This show is great!!! Who did it?!?!? I want more Dirty more Sexy more Money!!!!!!! I would prefer to see it on ABC, the channel of choice but at least bring it back on Fox or something!! This show rocks!!!

i was really beginning to like the show and teh story lins. why the heck did it get cancelled?? stupid shows like the ghot whisperer get to stay on for years to come, but thi one was a soap opea of teh super rich, and it was funny. bring it back!
Please bring back DSM!!!!!!! This is mine and my husbands favorite show. How on earth could there be low ratings. We think the characters and the story line are great. We miss it so much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

DSM has been aired here in the phil. but apparently its ratings are also low, when i first saw the teaser i wasnt ecstatic, rather negative on viewing… but its not so dumb afterall after watching almost all the eps. i find this to be intriguing and somehow i find the essence of niptuck in it. which btw i love..i mean seriuosly, i think bbc did the right thing, not all viewers like to watch a drama so richly selfish like this on recession time (i bet the producers are on a budget ..) although i think that the characters… Read more »
