What does 10 think of 13? Recently, David Tennant offered his thoughts on the new Doctor Who, Jodie Whittaker.
Tennant played the Doctor on the long-running BBC sci-fi series from 2005 to 2010. Last month, the network announced Jodie Whittaker will be the first female Doctor, beginning with her first appearance on the upcoming Christmas special this December.
On a recent episode of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Tennant said he was “delighted” with Whittaker as the new Doctor:
I’m delighted. She’s been on Broadchurch for three seasons, so I know her very well. She’s a mate of mine. A couple of days before it was announced, I get this phone call from her and she’s in a sort of tunnel of excitement and panic. But it’s brilliant. I can’t think of someone better to join the gang and be poised to take it to a whole new level. It’s great.”
