Doubt will arrive on CBS at midseason, and the latest pregnancy news of its star will not affect the series. Doubt stars Katherine Heigl, who was last seen on television on State of Affairs on NBC.
According to Entertainment Weekly, the new series will start production next month, and there are plans to work around her pregnancy. She is expecting her third child with husband Josh Kelley. The couple has two adopted daughters.
Heigl shared a sonogram of her next arrival, a boy, on her website earlier this week, and she said the following in a post on her website, according to Us Magazine:
“The whole pregnancy thing is new to me, but the thrill of having a baby is not. We’ve known for a while that we wanted to add to our family and frankly didn’t really care how we chose to do that. We were considering adoption again, fostering or pregnancy if possible. Seeing as I have never been pregnant and, as my OB/GYN reminded me last year, I’m of advanced maternal age, I wasn’t sure pregnancy was even in the cards for us. Turns out it was very much in the cards! So I will wait and eagerly anticipate, hopefully with grace, gratitude and a good attitude (ummm pregnancy hormones are real people). Maybe this time the waiting won’t be so hard because I’ll have all of you to share the laughter, tears and joys of my experience with.”
On Doubt, Heigl will play a lawyer who starts to develop feelings for her client. The only problem is the client is suspected of murder. Laverne Cox, Dulé Hill, Dreama Walker, Elliot Gould, and Kobi Libii also star on the series.
Do you plan to check out Doubt? Are you a fan of Katherine Heigl? Tell us what you think.
I agree. If she is on the show, I won’t watch. Not a fan ever since she basically said she was too good for Grey’s Anatomy.
I have always been a fan of Katherine’s. She’s a very talented actress andi was very disappointed when her last series was cancelled. I will definitely be watching this one!
That woman’s face makes me angry, I’ll pass on this one.
pregnancy won’t matter because no one will be watching it any way
Casting Katherine Heigl is a sure fire way of getting me NOT to tune in.
