The peacock network has found ratings success with the dark Grimm series on Friday nights. Is there room for another spooky thriller or will Dracula be cancelled quickly like so many other series? Stay tuned!
NBC’s Dracula is a retelling of the classic Bram Stoker story. In London, Dracula (Jonathan Rhys Meyers) is posing as an American entrepreneur while he seeks revenge on those who cursed him. He doesn’t count on falling in love with a woman (Jessica De Gouw) who looks just like his deceased wife. Others in the cast include Thomas Kretschmann, Oliver Jackson-Cohen, Victoria Smurfit, Katie McGrath, and Nonso Anozie.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
5/10 update: NBC has cancelled Dracula after one season and 10 episodes.
Final season averages: 1.1 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 3.25 million total viewers.
Note: If you’re not seeing the updated chart, please try reloading the page. You can also see them here.
Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
What do you think? Do you like the Dracula TV series? Would you like to see it cancelled or renewed for second season?
please leave the show on i like vampire shows
NBC you are retarded! Dracula is the most interesting, alluring & beautiful show with great actors/actresses , awesome costume design & scenery. I looked forward to watching it every Friday night. I hope another better & smarter station picks up the show. It’s too good to just kick to the curb!
NBC are not as retarded as some of those who tried to save this bag o’ nails… The only saving grace this program had was that it DIDN’T get a 2nd season!
Let me guess ailgaard, you would prefer to watch Hannibal eat humans for dinner medium rare. They are making big mistakes w/Dracula,Revolution,& now Believe. Why do they bother making good shows just to drop them? I will probably never start watching another new series on nbc-especially if it looks good.It will inevitably be canceled. As always I speak for family & friends.Goodbye NBC.
Actually Kate, you’re wrong there; I don’t watch Hannibal either!
Decent NBC programs are like Haley’s Comet (made an appearance several years ago and have since disappeared without at trace), but if you think ‘Dracula’, ‘Revolution’ and ‘Believe’ are good TV, then maybe you SHOULD ditch the network.
In my honest opinion, they’ve only ever had 3 worthy series: ‘Battlestar Galatica’ (first 3 seasons), ‘Life’ (also cancelled in it’s prime) and ‘Quantum Leap’.
Considering QL is over two decades old, and BG / Life were aired last decade, that ain’t a great track record!
Glad to know you don’t support Hannibal.I loved BSG & Quantum Leap. But I also loved Dracula,Revolution, & Believe. There’s very little out there to compare.Sorry you don’t agree but my cohorts include Mensa material & some w/multiple PhDs. Maybe it hasn’t appealed to all but obviously there are enough of us to validate repeat seasons of Dracula,if not the other two.
I am not sure why this show had to be cancelled. It was excellent. If it’s doing well in the UK and has 3 million plus viewers why can’t it continue? There are a lot of other shows they should consider canceling before this one.
Please renew I loved the first series, brilliant stuff! (UK)
I was shocked when I read that this awesome serial has been cancelled . I really liked it the actors show , the scenario , the beautiful made scenes … shame
We lost being witnesses of a progression of one great tale about dark hobbits at the victorian society.
I am so disappointed that Dracula has been cancelled. This was a great show that I so looked forward to watching each week. It is a shame that it has been cancelled I want it back
IS THIS SHOW DEFINITELY CANCELED???????????
This is bull ****! Why didn’t they advertise dracular show more like cable tv. You see them advertise on buses and trains everywhere-months before the show starts. I WANT DRACULAR BACK ON THE NETWORK OR YOU LOST ANOTHER VIEWER!!!
Same dips who canceled Revolution too.Don’t understand why something as disgusting as Hannibal is renewed but Dracula is canceled.I can’t even watch the ads for Hannibal. Will continue watching Grimm but that’s it for me from NBC.As always I speak for myself & extended family.Guess I’ll go look for something to watch, maybe get Netflix/hulu,is way to go. Thanks people for you efforts to make them see the light.
Kate
I was positive it would be renewed, we talk about it every week at work. So many people I work with and friends of mine watched it. It is so different than any other Dracula I’ve seen. Mr Meyers is so perfect for the role, I was pleased with all the actors. Please reconsider the decision to cancel it. If you don’t want it on the same night as Grimm, put it on a different night but please don’t cancel it. I don’t watch much television, but I watched it the first night because I thought J.R Meyers looked like… Read more »
This show was very well thought out and acted. An actual show with plot and storyline that engaged an intellectual mind with action and suspense. Casting was best I have seen. Everyone I know loved it but the time slotwas not good. If I didn’t have DVR capability at the time I could not have watched it. I think a better time slot for the age group to include the Mommy age would result in better ratings. I would love to see a Hulu or Netflix pick it up and keep it running on their original programming shows. This allows… Read more »
Considering going Netflix/hulu myself, seems to be the new frontier for thinking people.Thank you to all of you who fought to save this exceptional show.Maggie was sort of our leader, showing us where to leave our comments & who to reach. There is still a small ray of hope it will return in a different venue. Big cable needs to wake up.They are going the way of am radio and TV antennas. We fought a good fight.
Nooooooo!!!! Please don’t cancel! It’s my only pleasure on an otherwise basically bland viewing on TV! The acting is fantastic and it’s drama at it’s best. It also has to be said that J R Meyers is not only an incredible actor who portrays Dracula perfectly with charm and delight, he is also incredibly sexy.

Renew renew renew…. I loved this series!!!
This is the one show I looked forward to viewing; please, do not take it off the air! I find it frustrating that America loves reality shows where someone sings, someone famous judges, and America gets to agree with the bias judge; however, a show with a plot and storyline takes too much “brain power”. I think the audience is assuming Dracula is the same as all of the other vampire shows on the networks and in theaters right now: • 45+ does not want to see the teenage romanticism that they have associated with modern-day vampire shows • 20-45… Read more »
Tina has made an excellent suggestion for a way for this fantastic show to be renewed as a summer show. All her points were true and well put. Thanks Tina.
Kate
tina you are SO on the mark! We “old” people are never recognized. Ever notice that all the polls ask for your age? We should have a voice, no matter what age.
J.R. Meyers is perfect as Dracula. Please bring season 2.
Renew, Renew, Renew!!!!!!!
