It looks like the magic is over for the three ladies of Eastwick. ABC network has decided against ordering any additional episodes of the supernatural series, effectively cancelling it.
Eastwick revolves around three women (Rebecca Romijn, Lindsay Price, and Jaime Ray Newman) who meet at a wishing fountain and become friends. Soonafter, mysterious Darryl Van Horne (Paul Gross) moves to town and unleashes powers within the ladies. The cast also includes Ashley Benson, Johann Urb, Jon Bernthal, Sara Rue, and Veronica Cartwright.
The show got off to a slow start on September 23rd with a 3.0 rating in the 18-49 demo and 8.5 million total viewers. The second installment fell to a 2.3 in the demo and 6.57 million viewers. The third week fell again to a 1.8 and 5.14 million.

In the weeks that followed, the ratings didn’t get any better and more frequently got worse. Last week, Eastwick hit an all-time low of 1.5 in the demo and 4.4 million.
ABC has opted to pull the show from the schedule for two weeks. This Wednesday, it’s replaced by the Country Music Awards. Next week, it’s being bumped for an interview special called In the Spotlight with Robin Roberts: Janet Jackson. Though Eastwick is scheduled to return on Thanksgiving eve with a new episode, the supernatural drama won’t be around for long after that.
ABC has decided not to order any additional episodes of Eastwick, effectively cancelling the series after 13 episodes. It’s unknown if the last episode will wrap up the ongoing storylines. For now, ABC plans to air all six remaining installments but, if the ratings keep declining, the network could easily pull the series before that happens.

I really enjoyed the show, perhaps the ratings were low because most people that work, like myself are in bed at 10:00. I did however record the show and watch it the next day.

Another good point Britt, all those who loved Charmed and have been waiting for a cool witchy show would have jumped on this if there had been more publicity for it.

Loved this show! PLEASe at least show episode #11… THis is a GREAT Show .. I too am tired of ABC cancelling shows mid stream…. PLEASE someone pick it up!
Oh, NO! I love this show – so does my daughter! We watch it – never missed an episode, taped it in case we might! Love the girls and The tension!! I will miss it BAD!
I never watch ABC but when this show came on I was hooked. I think it is really stupid that you canceled it. I do not understand why you just cancel shows that people watch. I think Ugly Betty is dumb and I will go back to watching CBS and only CBS I think you made a bad decision
I have been waiting for a show to come along and take the place of “Charmed”. I watched every show, every season. When I heard about “Eastwick”, I was so excited. I just knew I would have a new show to follow. ABC should reconsider cancelling the show. I don’t believe “Eastwick” got enough advertising. That’s why the ratings weren’t what they wanted. Someone should pick it up. I gotta know what that Gene kid had planned.
It will do little or no good to post all these requests to not end this program here. There are so many of you that you should bombard ABC programing division and express your thoughts. If you want to keep posting here send a duplicate to ABC. No one here has the power to re-instate this program. It is just a collection of complants and you can believe ABC doesn’t read these posts. I too am getting really tired of these networks. Reality TV sucks, and it doesn’t say much for the general population, if that is all that is getting ratings. And who exactly are they using to rate the shows? Every time an interesting show comes around it is yanked before it even gets a chance. What happened to trying a different time slot? What happened to wrapping a show up for viewers if it does get cancelled? And who thought up this 13 episode crap? PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE reconsider and keep this show on! I really love it and the characters are wonderful. I love the whole synopsis. I myself alone know hundreds of people/friends that love the paranormal theme and love this show and would do anything to keep it going. I dont understand what it is people are looking for when they give up so soon on a show that has such promise with good meaty characters and storylines. Its not fair. I like the show. I was also a BIG fan of the original movie w/ Cher, Michelle Phiefer, & Susan Sarandon. It would be cool if they made cameos in up coming episodes as other characters. I can understand the mystery in revelling the new witches powers and Possible Adversaries, but I think they leave it a bit too vague. Almost to the point that your not really into caring about the new characters. @Robby: ABC apparently skipped episode 11 and ran number 12 instead. That’s why you didn’t see a resolution to the cliffhanger from episode 10.
I enjoyed Eastwick. It was corky, fun, mysterious, and something different on the air. Crime shows and reality T.V. fill every time slot and it was nice to watch something else for a change. I’m very upset that Eastwick will be cancelled.
i think the girls except for roxie were just plain silly and they badly misused and underused the magnificent canadian actor paul gross. everone knows the bones of the plot from the updike novels and previous films, so there was relatively little mystery or excitement about new discoveries in upcoming episodes. and there were way too many monumentally uninteresting incidental characters. the updike novels make serious and witty and very intelligent comments about relationships between men and women. none of that seriousness, intelligence or wit penetrated any of the scripts and without it one is left with pretty much nothing… Read more »
