It looks like the magic is over for the three ladies of Eastwick. ABC network has decided against ordering any additional episodes of the supernatural series, effectively cancelling it.
Eastwick revolves around three women (Rebecca Romijn, Lindsay Price, and Jaime Ray Newman) who meet at a wishing fountain and become friends. Soonafter, mysterious Darryl Van Horne (Paul Gross) moves to town and unleashes powers within the ladies. The cast also includes Ashley Benson, Johann Urb, Jon Bernthal, Sara Rue, and Veronica Cartwright.
The show got off to a slow start on September 23rd with a 3.0 rating in the 18-49 demo and 8.5 million total viewers. The second installment fell to a 2.3 in the demo and 6.57 million viewers. The third week fell again to a 1.8 and 5.14 million.

In the weeks that followed, the ratings didn’t get any better and more frequently got worse. Last week, Eastwick hit an all-time low of 1.5 in the demo and 4.4 million.
ABC has opted to pull the show from the schedule for two weeks. This Wednesday, it’s replaced by the Country Music Awards. Next week, it’s being bumped for an interview special called In the Spotlight with Robin Roberts: Janet Jackson. Though Eastwick is scheduled to return on Thanksgiving eve with a new episode, the supernatural drama won’t be around for long after that.
ABC has decided not to order any additional episodes of Eastwick, effectively cancelling the series after 13 episodes. It’s unknown if the last episode will wrap up the ongoing storylines. For now, ABC plans to air all six remaining installments but, if the ratings keep declining, the network could easily pull the series before that happens.

i think this show was canceled because the sponsors of abc couldnt handle the fact that they had veiwers. the show was great and if the damn channel couldnt handle they should have put it on another channel so we (the fans) could still watch the one of the most awesomest damn shows on tv!!!! hypicrits!!!!!!
im 20 yrs old I LOVED THIS SHOW but i had to dvr it because i worked 3rd shift …. THIS SUCKS
I just discovered this show watching it online and I was sad to find out how fast it canceled. Talk about barely giving it a shot. Maybe ABC just did a lousy job promoting it, I never even heard of it till like a month ago. Why give it a different night or at least let it run a whole session before you cancel it. I can’t believe they cancelled this show too. My mom and I loved it.. We miss Dirty Sexy Money as well… Come on ABC, get it together and give the great shows a chance. It really is a bummer…
I am an Eastwick fan and I been dying for the next season. So I started to google to see if I had mistaken the channel. Not to mention driving my husband up the wall about 🙂 I come to find everyone writting about it being cancled!!!!!!!!! Is this serious, if so I think Im going to have to get into contact with ABC somehow because they have made a HUGE I mean HUGE mistake and someone has to inform them. Any ideas???
Well this is a complete bummer. I have waited all winter for the show to start back up. I love this show. What is ABC thinking.
If you want good television watch USA and TNT with shows like The Closer, Burn Notice, In Plain Site, Sons of Anarchy, Royal Pains, Southland…the list goes on. Networks have become boring and commonplace with no variety. Reality shows with angry, cheating and dishonest people and games shows are run of the mill. I watch t.v. for the fantasy, drama, suspense and fun. It’s an escape from reality for me. that is so unfair to cancel the show! i actually quit my studying and I’ve got exams after a few days just to watch the show and i couldn’t stop !! com’n you’ve really got to continue it :'(
I think the cancellation of this series is ridiculous. ABC doesn’t give a series enough time to generate an audience before pulling it. I think they should just forget giving us ANYTHING new, because those of us who appreciate entertaining television get suckered into watching something, becoming a follower and then it gets yanked by people who apparently wouldn’t know good television if it smacked them in the face. I’m just sayin’.

This show was wicked fun. I am very disappointed it’s been canceled. Eastwick was clever, funny and full of surprises. ABC is losing it to cable for a reason. To bad FX or USA doesn’t pick it up.
I really loved the show.. I was waiting for it to come back on also. I think if it came on at a earlier time maybe it would have made. Were can I find the other episodes.

Boy, do I agree! This was a great show! Wicked, with comedy interspersed with drama. The acting was great. The women were gorgeous (and so was Daryl). I HATE that they just take off a show without giving us answers to a cliffhanger. But by now, I should know better than to expect a network to care about anything but ratings and demographics. I could not have said it better myself. You have totally expressed my feelings and opinions about the three major networks. They SUCK! Apparently the only demographic that matters is 10-15 year olds. Hmmmm….wonder who pays for their television priviledges? Maybe all of us who enjoy entertaining, thought provoking, humorous and dramatic television should just turn our televisions off. I DVR a great deal of my television and watch it on the weekends, but apparently I am of an age that doesn’t count where the networks(ABC,NBC,CBS) are concerned! Thanks so much for your comments!
Yes..YES..YES… So sick of the reality shows. Even though i do watch tough love couples, but so many people are watching life on tv, they aren’t living it! I like to fanasize sometimes and just get into the program and not worry about the kids or bills or the husband. I could relate to Eastwick. Oh well.
