Fans of Ugly Betty just got some (possibly) good news. ABC is moving the dramedy to Wednesday nights at 10pm. Unfortunately, that’s spells bad news for fans of cancelled Eastwick.
Eastwick has had a tough time of it and has never quite found a wide audience. The show and its cast — including Rebecca Romijn, Lindsay Price, Jaime Ray Newman, Paul Gross, Ashley Benson, Johann Urb, Jon Bernthal, Sara Rue, and Veronica Cartwright — have become popular with a devout group of viewers but it’s just not big enough to keep the show on the air.
The show was effectively cancelled last month when ABC opted to not order any additional episodes beyond the initial 13 installments.
Eastwick executive producer, Maggie Friedman, said that this would mean that many show storylines would go unresolved. On the positive side though, it seemed like ABC was committed to airing all of the episodes.

Unfortunately, it now appears that ABC has decided to pull the show off the air before the run is completed. Ugly Betty will take over the Eastwick timeslot on January 6th, bumping the last two episodes of the supernatural series from the schedule.
For now, it seems that the network has no plans to air the final installments of Eastwick. If ABC history is any indication, fans may have to wait until the summer months to see them — ala Dirty Sexy Money and Eli Stone. If not, then they’ll be able to find them on DVD, if there is one.

I am very disappointed. I never even heard of the series, until the last show. So I watched all the episodes online and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT. Now I find out that it won’t be back for season 2??? I think ABC did a Terrible job of promoting the show. I hope its picked up by another network (maybe the CW, or FX, or anything Cool), and it gets to be the top rated show because the next network will ADVERTISE it. ABC sucks. I told five people about Eastwick and they had never heard of it. Every one of them watched it and Loved it!
Creators and Producers of shows should start making contracts with the networks that mandate they have to show at least one FULL season before dropping them. If all the creators did this the networks would be forced to give things a chance.
I can’t believe how many shows, on all the networks, get dropped before anyone even knows they’re on!

I am very upset to find out that you cancelled the series.I really enjoyed watching it.It seems like everytime you find a program you like the station cancels it!I don’t think that is fair to the people who likes the show. Now what another reality show give me a break with all of the reality shows.I think they stink!
Bring it back and give it another season before deciding. In this crazy old world we all need some REAL entertainment. ABC is getting as bad as NBC in their way of thinking…Put Ugly Betty back on Thursday night where she was.
This makes me really hate ABC. Why not air the last two episodes out of consideration for their viewers? I’m never watching a new show on ABC again. They seem to have no loyalty for the fans.
I can’t believe that Eastwick was canceled i was hooked after the first episode. Im a huge fan of the movie Witches of Eastwick and was super excited when i saw the previews for the series. I looked forward to my Wednesday nights. To cancel the series is one thing but to not air the last episodes sucks!!!
This was a great show!!! They just didn’t give it a chance!!! How could they leave us hanging? Who was that boy and his dad?……..Not Fair ABC!!!
I am most disapointed that this show has ended as me my husband and my father in law were hooked from the very first episode. I thought that this show was very entertaining. It was different from all the other shows on tv…like anything new, it needs time to get a following. I totally enjoyed it and didn’t miss an episode. as far as a finale, i don’t see the point….the point would be to keep on airing it….
Why does the network think there were not enough viewers? Who did they ask, not me? I loved this show. Finally something different. Well what do we “viewers” know?
Please!! If you’re not going to bring back the show, at least air the last two episodes! Everyone I know loved the show once they saw it, but the time slot was late and it wasn’t advertised enough….

everything about that show said success except the time slot. And the wrong time can cause a good show to fail.
I want to thank everyone for the information…the problem I have with cancellations is that they never think to END a show. ABC and all the other networks please take some advice ~ If you are going to end a show END A SHOW!!!
