Fans of Ugly Betty just got some (possibly) good news. ABC is moving the dramedy to Wednesday nights at 10pm. Unfortunately, that’s spells bad news for fans of cancelled Eastwick.
Eastwick has had a tough time of it and has never quite found a wide audience. The show and its cast — including Rebecca Romijn, Lindsay Price, Jaime Ray Newman, Paul Gross, Ashley Benson, Johann Urb, Jon Bernthal, Sara Rue, and Veronica Cartwright — have become popular with a devout group of viewers but it’s just not big enough to keep the show on the air.
The show was effectively cancelled last month when ABC opted to not order any additional episodes beyond the initial 13 installments.
Eastwick executive producer, Maggie Friedman, said that this would mean that many show storylines would go unresolved. On the positive side though, it seemed like ABC was committed to airing all of the episodes.

Unfortunately, it now appears that ABC has decided to pull the show off the air before the run is completed. Ugly Betty will take over the Eastwick timeslot on January 6th, bumping the last two episodes of the supernatural series from the schedule.
For now, it seems that the network has no plans to air the final installments of Eastwick. If ABC history is any indication, fans may have to wait until the summer months to see them — ala Dirty Sexy Money and Eli Stone. If not, then they’ll be able to find them on DVD, if there is one.

y’know – when they keep pulling this ****, and the cable bill keep’s going up – it’s just making less and less sense to keep watching ABC. LOVED Cupid… it got cancelled. LOVED Eastwick – and now the brainless wonders (aka the ‘powers-that-be’ ?) suddenly up and cancel it… time to cancel the cable and renew my LIBRARY CARD. I really enjoyed the show and am disappointed that it was cancelled. I’m a single 30 something woman in NYC who rarely watches TV. This is one of few that I DVR. I wish ABC would realize that old-school Nielson ratings are exactly that…. stuck in the 80’s. Modern TV viewers watch shows online and through DVR, not when they are actually aired on TV. I never watch TV shows when they are actually aired on TV!!!!
YES YES YES, I truly think for the fans of Eastwick that we should get to see the last two shows. I love the show and I truly do not want it to end with the way it did last Wednesday. Not enough has been answered. Come on ABC get off you duff and find a place for the last 2 or even better find a home for the next season to see how it goes. Get rid of the stupid reality shows and the shows like Ugly Betty so we can see Eastwick.
I’m so pissed, I looked forward to Eastwick every week, it was a great show, humor, sex, drama, supernatural and suspense!!! Loved everything about it! Was thrilled to have a new show to watch. It doesn’t matter moving Ugly Betty or not, Keep EASTWICK!!!!!
I love east wick I dvr it everytime it comes on . Ugly betty is ok but it can conpare to east wick . I havent loved a supernatural show since charmed. I hope they keep it on or make it a summer show.
Here in the uk I can’t vote for lifetime to pick up the show but I have emailed them and ABC also WB lets all get together and hound these idiots WE WANT EASTWICK
This doesn’t change what this is all about which is Eastwick, but does anyone happen to know what the song or artist is on the last song playing at the end of the show?
There are reality shows and sitcoms I could live without that hog up the airwaves. I watched every week from the pilot and I love it. Those of us who are Charmed fans like this fun fiction. TNT is a big supporter of Charmed repeats. I hope they have the good sense to pick up Eastwick!

I too love Eastwick. I am so upset that they cancelled it. It seems just when I start to like a show, there it goes! Hopefully like others say TNT or WB will pick it up where they left off, they could use a show like this. I am so upset now that I am left hanging on to who the new neighbor and his kid are. So Frustrating!!!!
I loved Eastwick the movie, and loved the whimsical series ! It took us out of the real world into the magical world for a change. ABC has taken off a few shows that I really got into…don’t get why they don’t switch the time slot??? Will hope it goes to DVD
I am so upset with ABC. This is the second time they have done this to a favorite show. The first one was Invasion a couple of years ago, and they left viewers hanging then too.
Eastwick is a great show and I truly hope another network picks it up. ABC should really give it another shot, try another time slot, advertise it more (I rarely saw any commercials for it) and give it a good lead in show. I think I may boycott ABC.
I Loved Invasion too!!! I am so tired of the reality shows…right!?? I live enough of that so escaping into a different, fun show that doesn’t really happen to me has always been great. To bad these executives can’t see this, They were going to take Better off Ted too but somehow made the cut. I laugh at that one. I do watch In the Middle, Modern Family and Cougar Town…VERY funny! Sorry ABC you guys can’t get your heads out of your butts with Eastwick. Great cast too..love you guys if you see this!!!!
OH , Lipstick Jungle, and Dirty , Sexy Money!!! I am tired of getting hooked on ABC shows!!! They didn’t make it either…loved the shows…of course I did!*%#??? I did buy the 1st season DVD of Lipstick Jungle, now looking for the 2nd…..whats up ABC! OMG
We want Eastwick. It keeps you on the edge of your seat and carries you away with a little magic. It’s bewitching and enchanting and it’s wonderful.
