Time has run out for CBS’ science-based drama. Based on a British series of the same name, the network has cancelled Eleventh Hour after 18 episodes.
Eleventh Hour revolves around a team of scientists and FBI agents who work to solve strange crimes that involve science and possible paranormal activity. The drama stars Rufus Sewell, Marley Shelton, and Omar B. Miller.
Debuting on October 9, 2008, the show started out with an audience of 11.37 million viewers and a 3.2/9 rating/share of the 18-49 demographic. The season ended up averaging about 12 million. While that looks fine on its own, the series consistently lost a large percentage of its CSI lead-in.
The show’s been “on the bubble” for awhile and now, the network has decided to cancel it. All of the show’s episodes have aired and there’s been no word on a DVD release.

WTF!! i don’t get CBS anymore, you guys lose characters from one of your major shows and then you cancel the vampire show moonlight, which i am sure you kickin yourself in the butt for, and now you are takin the eleventh hour away, i don’t get it or understand it and neither does my mom, we use to sit down and looked forward to thursday nights on CBS but now we have no reason to watch it, so we will also go to TNT and USA. the people who pick and drop shows on CBS really needs to have… Read more »
Can’t believe they cancelled Eleventh Hour. I loved that show and was waiting for the next season. Getting sick and tired of this. I’m going to start watching tnt and usa more from now on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am so SICK of the networks canceling shows that are not reality based! I cannot understand why shows like Survivor and The Apprentice are allowed to continue, and smart, witty, interesting shows like Eli Stone and Eleventh Hour are canceled, with 12 million people watching!! No wonder I am more inclined to watch shows on the cable networks like USA and TNT! I am tired of getting hooked on a show, only to have it canceled after one season. Networks, you need to listen more to your viewers!
WTF
getting sick of this.
every show i like gets canceled!
WTF
Eleventh hour, Life, Terminator!
Al those reality crap TV ********.
I guess I can delete it from my DVRs recording list. I was looking forward to EH’s return this season. I’m sorry to hear it’s not coming back.
sois unos capullos desgraciados y amargados! fxxk you!!!

Very disappointed to say the least; but not surprised. TV networks seem to be determined to scotch every show that is intelligent, absorbing, informational and has a great cast gets cancelled and more and more mindless pap foisted on us. Nice going, CBS!
Is CBS foolish I like others was looking forward to seeing the second season it was one of the few shows I watched on the television. The show is exciting and interesting. CBS has lost one viewer and I guess my time will be spent with other channels like Discovery and TLC in the evening time. I am disgusted by the descision made by CBS.
No Way! Why? 12 million viewers a week was not enough to keep this show on? This show, like the mentalist is smart and captivating and Rufus Sewell does an amazing job. Please bring it back!
I dont understand why they insist on cancelling all the shows that are decent and quite interesting but they leave on all of the crap reality shows and music shows such as “so you think you can dance”, and “american idol”. please. i would rather watch disney movies w/my little sister. C’mon lets get something worth watching back on the air.
Why does every show that appeases the intellectuals have to be cancelled. I guess we need to vegetate watching stupid crap like “Big Brother”.
Give me some entertainment please.
I did not expect to find out that my favorite show was cancelled when I was searching for when it was going to start this fall. Don’t we have enough CSI and Law and Order shows? The Eleventh Hour was a smart and well written show.
YOU IDIOTS THROUGHLY ENJOYED THE SHOW
why Cancel one of the best shows on tv. i look and as well many others look forward to every week to watch and enjoy Eleventh Hour. That show makes a person curious on the things that happens and what will happen in a scientific drama.keep the show on.
