Nothing but bad luck for this family. ABC has cancelled their freshman drama The Family, TVLine reports.
The drama centers on the Warren family, whose youngest member returns after mysteriously disappearing 10 years prior. The cast includes Joan Allen, Rupert Graves, Alison Pill, Zach Gilford, and Liam James.
The series premiered to decent ratings, but they have dropped steadily over the course of its first season. The Family began with a 1.48 in the 18-49 demo and currently holds an average of .83 in the 18-49 demo and 3.276 million viewers.
The season one and series finale airs on May 15th.

I will no longer watch abc. I cannot believe after 11 episodes they chose to cancel The Family. I was left hanging after each episode and couldn’t wait till the following week…..Will miss this show and the cast…..well done to them.
The Family needs to be renewed for a second season. This shoe was by for one of the best shows on ABC.
Really love this show! How can a series end with a cliffhanger like that? How will we ever know about Adam? So mad that it is cancelled!!!!
This is one of the best shows on tv. Please don’t cancel it. You left us hanging with no closure. This is cruel to your loyal viewers. Why get hooked on a show if something like this can happen. At least give us a ending to our unanswered questions!!!! Please let us know what happens with Adam!!!
Another great show not given a chance to grow on a network channel. Someone should call Netflix for season 2 to be made.

Very interesting show!! Please reconsider, ABC… Sunday night is a tough night, maybe another time slot? 9-10 during the week sometime? Joan Allen and Andrew McCarthy have been fascinating to watch on the small screen… This story line is extremely intriguing and it deserves to continue!!
Very disappointed that this show was cancelled. They should at least make more episodes to make it end on a good note .

I just watched the finale and had an OMG reaction. Then read that it WAS the finale and the show was bring canceled. What the heck is wrong with you people!? I look forward to this show every Sunday. I am so disappointed.
