Nothing but bad luck for this family. ABC has cancelled their freshman drama The Family, TVLine reports.
The drama centers on the Warren family, whose youngest member returns after mysteriously disappearing 10 years prior. The cast includes Joan Allen, Rupert Graves, Alison Pill, Zach Gilford, and Liam James.
The series premiered to decent ratings, but they have dropped steadily over the course of its first season. The Family began with a 1.48 in the 18-49 demo and currently holds an average of .83 in the 18-49 demo and 3.276 million viewers.
The season one and series finale airs on May 15th.

Please don’t cancel! This was a show where the adults in the house could gather and watch together!! Please find a place for it. It was fantastic!! It’s not a cussing no class reality series it was an actual series with some nail biting punch to it!! We found the time to make it a priority to be there to watch now you guys make it a priority to keep it out of the trash!! We showed it and don’t deserve to be left like this. Please don’t cancel! This was a show all the adults could gather together to watch. Andrew and Joan were great as we’re all the cast. It wasn’t a reality cussing no class comedy!!! Come on guys find a place for it!!! It was great. You can’t leave us hanging we made a point to be there to watch it you guys make it a point to find a place for it besides the trash basket!!! We love it!!!

THIS IS AN EXCELLENT SHOW, something new & unique! Why can’t ABC give things a little bit more of a chance before cancelling so quickly!!! This is the 3rd show that I have liked in this time slot that has been cancelled w/o any conclusion to the story & way too soon! Just because it’s not the TOP show doesn’t mean it shouldn’t be continued for those of us that enjoy it. PLEASE RECONSIDER!!
This was complex but very interesting show. The finale was great and left me wanting to see more. Hope ABC decides to renew.
I looked forward to viewing “The Family” on ABC Sundays. I recorded the show and watched it several times during the following week. How could ABC leave us hanging like that; Birdey dead; Adam alive; Hank up to his old tricks The show was full of suspense. It is cruel to leave the viewers hanging. Hope they will reconsider and bring it back.
I am so mad I never missed a show this is the first show in a long time that I have really gotten into. For I am in law inforcement and it is very interesting to me. Abc sucks I hope they will reconsider.
Finally a show worth watching and now it’s being cancelled???!!! Don’t do it ABC! Adam needs to come back to get his revenge!!
This is one of the BEST shows ever I even got my boyfriend into it..I can’t be left hanging like this omg please have season 2..it is such a mystery and twists from the beginning until the end..Dont cancel ABC..great actors and actresses!!!!!

Please do not cancel this show. It was my favorite new show. Loved it. Multiple story lines going that kept it gripping every week. Please bring this back!!! Will be VERY disappointed if you do not give this another chance!
My boyfriend and I loved this show! We are so disappointed they have chosen to cancel it. I hope they change their mind and decide to make some type of changes to get it back up. Very interesting and intense. Loved it. Hopefully another TV channel will pick it up!
