The Tuesdays at 10pm timeslot has been a big ratings problem for ABC for quite awhile. Show after show has been cancelled. Will their new Forever series change that trend? Will it be renewed for a second season? Stay tuned.
On the Forever TV show, New York City’s star medical examiner is Doctor Henry Morgan (Ioan Gruffudd). He can ascertain things that most can not because of his vast experience — he’s been alive for 200 years but can’t figure out how or why. The rest of the cast includes Alana de la Garza, Lorraine Toussaint, Donnie Keshawarz, Joel David Moore, and Judd Hirsch.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — typically around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
5/8 update: ABC has cancelled Forever after one season. Details here.
Final season averages: 1.12 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 4.93 million total viewers.

Due to a Nielsen glitch, some of the early ratings of the 2014-15 season were revised a few weeks later.
Note: These are the final national numbers (unless noted with an “*”). These are different from the fast affiliate numbers which are just estimates of the actual ratings. The final nationals are typically released within 24 hours of the programming or, in the case of weekends and holidays, a couple days later.
What do you think? Do you like the Forever TV show? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for a second season?
I absolutely love this show! The cast members really “click” and the whole premise of the show is fresh and not trying to copy something that has already been done. I’ve watched every episode and some twice.
Forever the show rocks. Finally a cool show with a new unique idea. What’s great about the show is that it’s not repeating a previously concept. Most shows today take a previous idea and recycle it, this show’s doing something that’s hard to do. It’s taking a new idea and making it work.
I tuned in to this show because of Ioan Gruffudd who became one of my favorite actors to watch after he played the main character of Horatio Hornblower in A&E’s late nineties mini-series of the same name. I have liked most of the show’s that Ioan has starred in and became very disappointed when they were cancelled after only one season. I hope this show is different and sees renewed life through multiple seasons. The good supporting cast as well as the interesting storyline and mystery regarding Henry’s condition make “Forever” the Tuesday night show to watch!
Think the show is great. Quality show with a quality cast. Hopefully you’ll give it chance to build an audience.
My husband and I absolutely love Forever. I really hope they give it another season. It seems like all of the best shows get cancelled before they are given a chance.
Great cast, excellent storyline…becoming a bit too monster of the week though :/ don’t let this turn into just another crime show, there are already far too many of them and they are stale. Why isn’t he using his wonderful ability more often? More connections to his past lives and story arcs with creative twists is the way to keep this show fresh and interesting! Take a leaf out of Doctor Who and Torchwood’s book, play with time a bit!
I love this show it has the wonderful ability to bring history to present day (almost to life). I am really hoping is does not end before it gets started!
Love forever show since day one. Everyone on the show are great actors ,and have chemistry. Keep the this number one show on the air.
My entire family LOVES this show. Ioan Gruffudd is such an appealing, talented actor (not just handsome, but with an expressive face that looks sensitive and intelligent), and despite the occasionally gruesome autopsy scenes, the overall tone avoids the dark, gloomy, everyone-is-corrupt attitude that plagues too many recent shows. What I most love is that people on this show CARE about each other (does that make it a throwback to the ’60s?). Judd Hirsch is a wonderful complement to the story. The mysteries – and the female detective running around without backup – don’t have to be realistic. I care… Read more »
I like the show and what they are trying to do with it, but I can’t watch it, because it is on at the same time as one of my favorite shows, so sorry but I think it is going to tank. If ABC would be so kind and show it on Wednesday at the same time slot, it would be very appealing to all of my family and we are not alone in this!!!!!!!!!!!!!
LOVE the show….it’s great!
Absolutely love this show. Please renew.
One of the few shows both my wife and I enjoy. I enjoy a good television program but good television is hard to come by on the networks. Forever is the only show on the 4 major networks I watch.
Absolutely love the show. Give it time! Agree with everything B said!
We like the show. Give it time to find an audience. The interaction between Ion and Judd is quite good. The transitions to the flashbacks are well done and are helping to create the development of the characters.
Love Love Love this show! It’s witty, well-scripted, well-acted, and a nice change from the ‘usual’ cop shows. Keep this one on!
