TV show description:
Jared Franklin (Breckin Meyer) and Peter Bash (Mark-Paul Gosselaar) are a pair of lawyers that you want to have on your side. With business cards in hand, they’re ready to nab a client within seconds of a car accident, an arrest for solicitation, or any other incident where their legal services may be needed. Once in the courtroom, they’ve got a certain flair and will do or say just about anything to get a win for their clients.
Peter has a knack for connecting with judge and jury, while Jared loves sticking it to authority every chance he gets. Peter holds nothing back in court, is a confident ladies man, and has a killer body that he’s not modest about showing off. Meanwhile, Jared is quick-witted, scrappy, and a master showman in the courtroom. His dad’s a well-known attorney but Jared prefers to make it on his own, liking to stand up for the little guy. He formerly dated Assistant District Attorney Janie Ross (Claire Coffee).
Despite their bad-boy antics, brash presentation and devil-may-care attitudes, their devotion to their clients catches the attention of Stanton Infeld (Malcolm McDowell). He’s a man of culture and philosophy who’s also a fierce competitor in court and the patriarch of Infeld Daniels, one of the top law firms in Los Angeles. He sees a lot of himself in the young men and decides to recruit the pair to bring a fresh energy to the firm. Jared and Peter are joined by their two legal aides; smart and tough paralegal Carmen Phillips (Dana Davis) and Pindar Singh (Kumail Nanjiani), a brilliant writer and researcher who’s socially awkward and has some serious anxiety issues.
Infeld’s decision to take on the fresh talent doesn’t sit well with his nephew, Damien Karp (Reed Diamond), a morally-challenged and ambitious lawyer who has his own plans for the firm. Jared and Peter’s arrival also threatens Karp’s romantic desires for Hanna Linden (Garcelle Beauvais), a beautiful and smart attorney who takes an immediate liking to Jared.
In their new offices at Infeld Daniels, Jared and Peter handle a variety of new and interesting clients but their incredible friendship remains a constant. Time will tell if the devoted buddies’ relationship can survive in this new environment.
Episode #40 — Red or Black
Infeld is convinced he’s going to die after a mysterious invitation beckons him to Las Vegas to confront his destiny. The boys and Dan Mundy follow him to the city of sin, and try to convince him that his death isn’t supposed to happen, and that the whole thing is a self-fulfilling prophecy. Soon they find their own futures hanging in the balance when they’re arrested for cheating a casino out of thousands. Franklin and Bash must put Vegas itself on trial in order to win the day, which they do. The win is bittersweet, as the whole ordeal has raised serious question about their destiny. It’s decided that the future of the legal team of Franklin and Bash will rest solely on one spin of the roulette wheel.
First aired: October 22, 2014.
What do you think? Do you like the Franklin & Bash TV show? Do you think it should have been cancelled or renewed for a fifth season?

Not only were the situations enjoyable but there was humor mixed in. I don’t know why they cancelled it.
I don’t see any new programing on TNT worth two gobs of goat ****. Franklin and Bash was a good show. I liked it a lot. I should of stayed in TV. The bone heads running TNT need to find new work. If ratings are slipping, find some new writers and give it any season. Nice move boys. Cancelled another good show.
I just discovered that F and B was cancelled. I had been expecting the new series to start, but it never did. I have to say I am very disappointed in TNT for at least not having a series ending show where all the ends are wrapped up. Shame on you TNT!
Best show on tv. They’re always canceling the good ones. Some shows barely last a season. The stations don’t give them a chance. Wish Franklin & Bash would come back
Same here best show in long time
I enjoyed the show but I liked it better before they joined Infeld’s firm. Although, I really like Malcolm McDowell (had a bit of a crush on him since ‘Time after Time’. I would love the show back on the air, especially if they get rid of the whole corporate thing.
Franklin and Bash should have never been cancelled it is one of the best shows on TNT it’s there loss canceling the series some networks don’t realize when they have a great show maybe it’s because of the technology we have now to record the shows we like and watch when we want or to be able to fast forward threw commercial so to the network bad move!!!
Franklin and Bash not having a 5th season makes me very very sad. I’ve been watching the show since day one and I was hooked. The courtroom scenes were the best!!! I’m going to miss this show…TV stations need to stop canceling shows like this. Reality TV is overrated, as these dumb people are trying to make a buck or trying to find their 5 minutes of frame. Bring back Franklin and Bash!!!!
I am completely shocked by the decision to cancel F&B of all the shows on right now this was one of the lawyer shows that I actually liked and was really excited to watch. Perhaps somehow they can go to an online following like the Mindy Kaling show and others that have gone before to the online world. I would still watch it in a heartbeat.
F & B should NOT have been cancelled. Given the current programing that either recycles the same stale plots or is meant to appeal to the average 5th grader, something fresh and fun — like F & B — was a real treat. Too bad that not enough of the public is watching TV in real ‘program’ time, rather than binging on mulitple episodes. Networks need to start to modify the way that their ratings are affecting programing. Most people I know don’t watch TV in real time, but on their own schedule based on their availability. This means that… Read more »
I love Franklin & Bash. I cannot believe that it has been cancelled. I have watched it from the beginning. All the shows that I get interested in have been cancelled. I guess I will have to stick with Reality TV from now on. I don’t like the futuristic / fantasy type of TV that everyone is turning to.
I know this was a bean counter decision and read that the ratings were slipping. When the show was at it’s best was when the writing had more surprises. Good shows have great chemistry. I will miss the boys and enjoyed their courtroom antics.
Really sad . I wish they woud do a season 5
Extremely upsets that Franklin & Bash was canceled!!!!! Great show that made me laugh each week. Should never have been canceled!!!
Wow, How disappointing this network needs to rethink this choice to cancel. This show has a great cast of actors . Not to mention a wonderful banter between Mark-Paul Gosselaar & Breckin Meyer) .. this was unique and different and a great grown up show…. LIKE THEY SAY IN TV GUIDE “‘JEERS FOR CANCELLING”
