TV show description:
This medieval fantasy TV show is an adaptation of A Song of Ice and Fire, the series of fantasy novels by George R. R. Martin. The first is titled A Game of Thrones.
Set in the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros, the series chronicles the violent dynastic struggles among the kingdom’s noble families for control of the Iron Throne. As the show opens, additional threats from the icy region north of Westeros and from the eastern continent of Essos are simultaneously beginning to rise.
Lord Eddard “Ned” Stark (Sean Bean) is the head of the Stark family. He and his wife Catelyn (Michelle Fairley) have five children: eldest Robb (Richard Madden), dainty Sansa (Sophie Turner), tomboy Arya (Maisie Williams), adventurous Bran (Isaac Hempstead-Wright) and the toddler, Rickon (Art Parkinson).
The family’s outsiders are Ned’s bastard son, Jon Snow (Kit Harington), and Ned’s hostage and ward Theon Greyjoy (Alfie Allen).
King Robert Baratheon (Mark Addy) shares a loveless marriage with Queen Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey), who has taken her twin — the “Kingslayer” Ser Jaime Lannister (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) — as her lover and loathes her younger brother, a clever dwarf named Tyrion (Peter Dinklage).
Cersei’s oldest child is Prince Joffrey Baratheon (Jack Gleeson) who is guarded by a scar-faced warrior named Sandor “The Hound” Clegane (Rory McCann). One of the king’s advisors is the crafty Lord Petyr “Littlefinger” Baelish (Aidan Gillen), Master of Coin.
Across the Narrow Sea are siblings Viserys (Harry Lloyd) and Daenerys “Dany” Targaryen (Emilia Clarke). They are the exiled children of the king overthrown by Robert and are on the run for their lives and are trying to win back the throne.
Dany is married to Khal Drogo (Jason Momoa), the leader of the barbaric Dothraki, for the promise of an army for Viserys. Ser Jorah Mormont (Iain Glen) is an exiled knight who’s sworn to protect the fugitive siblings.
Episode #73 — The Iron Throne
The fate of the Seven Kingdoms is at stake as the final chapter of Game of Thrones is written.
First aired: May 19, 2019.
What do you think? Do you like the Game of Thrones TV series? Do you think the series should end with season eight?
Are you CRAZY…..why cancel such a popular show. Please reconsider this decision…..come on!
Please don’t cancel or end GOT I have been watching it since it first started Love the show best on HBO if this is the last year for GOT then I will cancel HBO. The only reason why I still have HBO is because of GOT .Cable here is high and for HBO alone its like 16 a month, not worth it if GOT ends
I hate to see a great series end.I have been watching GOT since it first came on and I was hooked from the first show. I can’t believe that 8 years have gone by,could we have another 8?
I love it
One of the finest to date for hbo since the sopranos. Sad to see this come to an end .
I wish they wouldn’t end it.its very exciting and unpredictable which I love because there are so few shows that really have a twist in them. This series has many twists and turns and imaginative conclusions to the story line that I get hooked every show!
Please don’t stop this series!!!… Best TV Series out!!.. My entire family watches Game of Thrones….
No, don’t end with season eight! I’ve binged watched all seasons and I’m looking forward to many more!
No, I do not think the Game of Thrones should end with season 8. There are so many different story lines the writes can go with. there are still more deadly threats out there to be explored after Cersi is taken care of and the white walkers are dealt with. The Game of Thrones followers has joined people of all walks of life together routing for the same out come; Justice for the Stark family. Not only that but we want to see the battles to come. I already lost Banshee. I hope we all don’t lose the one show… Read more »
Beyond the Wall was a great episode as it was a change of pace. The conversations among our intrepid band gave us more insight into their characters and motivations. This episode has set us up for what will be happening in the final season. The battle lines are now clearly drawn and we can see that the Night King is a formidable opponent. On paper the plan to capture a wight is good plan its execution unfortunately didn’t work out as planned. We know that the Night King needs a dragon to cross the wall so we can speculate that… Read more »
Jon is the song of his parents who are the Ice and Fire. Jon is the hero who will restore balance to the world and I don’t think he’ll be one of the survivors when this series finally ends in Season 8. As for Cersei it wouldn’t make any sense for her to die this season and we know from Dany’s visions that she doesn’t take the Iron Throne. I wouldn’t be the least bit surprised if the final scene in Season 8 shows someone reading this story to someone as it makes a lot of sense to see “Game… Read more »
The first episode of Season 7 was epic. If this were a chess game our characters are now in place and it is just a case of moving them across the board. The final scene of this episode was extremely well done and is definitely worth re-watching as it says volumes.

What a season finale!!!!!!!!!!!. I just wish the episode could have been extended for another couple of hours AND now we have to wait for another year. That being said we can see the beginning of the end of this saga. It will be interesting to see if Dany and Jon become allies or mortal enemies. As to who ends up on the Iron Throne is anyone’s guess at the moment but I don’t think Cersei will be occupying it for long. What else is interesting is that the older members of the major houses are making way for the… Read more »
