As expected, there won’t be a second season for Gang Related. FOX has cancelled the summer cop drama after one season of 13 episodes.
On Gang Related, a police detective (Ramon Rodriguez) is torn between his allegiance to his job and co-workers and the gang and crime family that raised him. The cast also includes Terry O’Quinn, RZA, Jay Hernandez, Sung Kang, Inbar Lavi, Cliff Curtis, and Shantel VanSanten.

The series debuted at the end of May to a 0.9 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 2.94 million viewers.
That was a poor showing right out of the gate and the ratings got even worse as the weeks progressed.
It ended up being one of FOX’s worst-performing summer series. Despite having a small but loyal audience, it was expected that the network would cancel the show.
The final episode, which aired August 14th, left plenty of things unresolved.

As an international viewer in Australia, I am amazed this has been cut. The best show on TV, great stories, characters, and the season finale left me drooling for season 2. Give the show to TNT, they know how to get a TV show to be successful.
Loved the show. Why is it that shows with Mexican/American/Latino/Hispanic actors seem to always get cancelled???????

Both my husband and I just love this show! It was hard waiting for a week to pass until we could watch the next episode. Please, PLEASE! bring it back!!!! Most exciting show on television….gut wrenching to know there is no season 2.
bring it back great show, don”t often see great latino actors on a well writen show.

I love that show. I would watch 5 more seasons. It ducks they cancelled it. Put it back on.
I love the show, to me the show was outstanding. Very disappointed to hear that is not coming back.
One of the best television programs that I have watched in a long time. Good characters and not the same old cop story lines. Can’t figure this one out. Oh well, back to NBC.
I am so disappointed not having good TV shows about what is truly out there. Best drama on TV. Better than all these shows about how fat people are or stupid they are for being a red neck. Cop shows are same old same old. Gang related was so different.
gang related was one of my favorite shows I was really looking forward to the next season and so on there’s no reason it should have been canceled better promotion in commercials on the show would have improved the viewers it was a great show please bring it back team Ryan Lopez
This is why I don’t really watch shows on FOX, ABC, CBS…ect. They show good shows then cancel them after the first season. I feel like: What’s the point in investing my time when they wont even invest in my interest of a second season.
So when they have really interesting shows premiering, I don’t bother with them because the network will only let the ratings get in the way.

That is unbelievable. Im in shock this was quickly and easily my favorite new show. The plot the acting the story lines A+. Bring it back please. Do a better job promoting. The show is awesome.
