I have also watched it since I was a young girl. I would come home from school and watch GH with my mother and sister. I was upset when they cancelled AMC and a OLTL. I currently watch GH, Y&R and B &B. They are my escape for a few hours and would be lost without them. Every comment I read from long time fans is very relatable to me.
I agree with Joan. I have been watching General most of my life. I record the shows and usually watch the next morning so I guess I do not show up in the ratings. In this crazy world, GH gives me an hour of forgetting everything else in life. We all need a distraction and this is mine. If it goes off the air I would be so sad, like missing people that have been in my life for decades suddenly disappearing.
I still love the show. I think your demographics are incorrect though. I am in my mid-60s. I’ve been watching the show forever and I believe there’s a lot of people in my age range who have done the same. I think the numbers are also off because in my area, and I’m sure others, the show is often
Preempted today COVID-19 news. So I watch it later on ABC via my phone or iPad. I so hope it’s not going off the air it’s just this chill enjoyment for an hour each day.
