Ghost Nation may be ending their first season on Friday night, but fans of the series do not have to worry about the future of this series. Travel Channel has renewed the series for a second season, and viewers will see even more episodes when the show returns. A 20-episode order has been given to the ghost hunting series, which features Jason Hawes, Steve Gonsalves and Dave Tango.
The trio are no strangers to having a successful ghost hunting series. The three were featured on Ghost Hunters during its run on Syfy. That series has been revived by A&E with Grant Wilson leading his own team of investigators.
Travel Channel revealed more about the renewal of Ghost Nation in a press release. Check that out below.
“Travel Channel has picked up a second season of its new series Ghost Nation, starring the “OG” gang of paranormal investigators: Jason Hawes, Steve Gonsalves and Dave Tango. ‘Ghost Nation was an exciting launch for us, and it’s clear our viewers are just as eager to see Jason, Steve and Dave back on the case, doing what they do best,’ said Matthew Butler, general manager, Travel Channel. ‘We’re beyond elated to do another season with them, super serving their loyal fan base with more locations and deeper investigations.’
The series was one of the highest-rated programs during “Ghostober,” Travel Channel’s annual October programming event encompassing 31 days of all-new spooky premieres. Travel Channel was a top 25 cable network for P25-54 throughout October, delivering 1.1 million viewers P2+, with ratings up 7 percent among P25-54 from a year ago.”
A premiere date for season two of Ghost Nation was not revealed.
What do you think? Did you tune in to watch season one of Ghost Nation? Are you glad to know it will be back for a second season?
Terrific show! I really missed these guys so I’m very glad to hear they’ve been renewed. One of the most credible of the paranormal shows with a little humor thrown in by Steve and Tango.
Agree Steve and Tango keep me laughing.
So glad they are back – really missed Ghost Hunters – I was an addict! I do however agree with Terri and Bev that it has too much scripting – let them be themselves – they do a great job at it!
I miss Grant and Jason working together. That combo is the OG.
Best is still the best. Enjoyed the new season. Only wish there had been more episodes.
So happy to hear this! The first season was much too short! Love me some Hawes, Gonsalves & Tango for a Friday night date! 😉
Love the show. I was so disappointed GH was cancelled. The new show is more believable than any of the others. I like that it’s not all demons and darkness and drama. And they don’t run screaming
I just read the New Ghosthunters from 2019 is coming back on April i believe I saw
Love the show, always loved their previous show, this ones a bit different, it seems to be a bit scripted. They need to allow the guys more space/freedom to do what they do best. Ghost Hunt, now go find ‘um boys! Love ya’s,
See you soon!
I agree with Terri a little to scripted, it has a forced feeling. Still love the guys but let them be themselves.
love the show just wish grant was on there but still a great show
Grant is back in April for 2019 Ghost hunters restart. So we will have Ghost Nation one night and the new Ghost hunters with Grant another night! Yeah!
It was great to have Jason, Steve and Tango back on the air! Looking forward to seeing the next season!

I love it I love it I love it!!! I could never stop watching them in the earlier series Ghost Hunter and so glad to see the OG guys back together!!! They are awesome at what they do but also their personalities lend themselves to inner-personal humor. They are fun and extremely interesting!! Yay!!! They are back!!!
I loved Ghost Nation and the O.G.s again. I will watch it anytime it is aired.
I’ve watched Jason Hawes and crew since the first show of Ghost Hunters and thrilled with the new show! They are so professional and real about how they work together. Can’t wait for the new and longer series this time!
I was excited for the premier of Ghost Nation and as usual the guys did not disappoint. I am thrilled that there will be a second season. Nothing has ever come close to their techniques and success. And humor. Welcome back!!!
