Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life aired in November, and it featured the four ending words that Amy Sherman-Palladino planned to use for the end of the series all along. Those four words featured Rory telling her mother she was pregnant.
Only one actor on the series guess that those words would end the Netflix series – for the most part. Vanessa Marano, who currently stars on Switched at Birth, guessed that Rory would say “Mom, I’m pregnant, psych.”
The Hollywood Reporter asked about her guess recently. She said the following:
“I was sitting there watching with my little sister. She was like, ‘I cannot believe that you guessed it.’ I was like, ‘I didn’t do it on purpose. It was a joke!’ I didn’t think they’d really do it. Now I’m upset because it’s a cliffhanger. It was supposed to be closure. Now I want more, which I wouldn’t be mad if there was more, I would be ecstatic if there was more, so it was brilliant on [creator Amy Sherman-Palladino’s] part. I have not talked to anyone in the cast or the crew actually so we’ll see.”
