When you film 153 episodes, sometimes you forget things. In a recent interview with EW, Lauren Graham revealed she forgot a major plot line from season seven of Gilmore Girls.
Graham played Lorelai Gilmore on the WB/CW dramedy for seven seasons. She is reprising the role alongside several of the original cast members for Netflix upcoming revival, Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life.
While discussing the much-maligned seventh season of the series, Graham admitted that she completely forgot Lorelai had married Christopher (David Sutcliffe):
Christopher [Hayden] and I got married in that season. When we came back to do [the revival], I say something about having been married or somebody says it to me, and I was like, ‘I was never married.’ I forgot.’ They had to get one of the super-fan assistants to get on the phone with me to remind me. She had to tell me the whole thing. It just seemed so out of character that I literally blocked it from my memory. That was my season 7 experience.”
Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life debuts on Friday, November 25th.
What do you think? Are you a fan of Gilmore Girls? What are you thoughts on season seven?
Yes Lorelai marrying Christopher was really out of character…and such a silly plot twist. Just like Rory being a mini-Emily in season 6 was out of nowhere….
