Wedding bells are in the air on the new season of Girls. Today, HBO released the new trailer for season five of the Lena Dunham dramedy.
Season five premieres on February 21st, at 10 p.m.
Last season, the girls took steps toward bettering themselves. Hannah (Dunham) became a teacher and involved with a new beau (Jake Lacy) while Shoshanna (Zosia Mamet) took a new job in Tokyo and Marnie (Alison Williams) got engaged. The new preview shows Marnie dressed in all white for her wedding, Shosh in Japan with a new hair and new attitude, and Hannah negotiating her new relationship.
Recently, Dunham revealed that she plans on ending the series after season six. In the meantime, she’s been developing a new series for HBO, Max, about the 1960s publishing world.

What do you think? Are you a fan of Girls? Will you be watching the new season?
Little-known fact: upon watching five minutes of Girls, the Truth in Advertising Commission forced HBO to change its tagline to “If It’s Crap, It’s on HBO. 😉
Seriously, this affront to all that has been good about TV shows in the past is the prototype of all that is wrong today: The product of a rich connected no-talent who gets handed over bags of cash to produce a show nobody watches.
Congrats HBO. So edgy…
