If you’ve been looking forward to the return of the Good Witch TV show on Hallmark Channel, you’ll want to adjust your calendar. The supernatural drama series had been set to return on Sunday, May 5th. Hallmark now says that Good Witch will return on Sunday, June 9th at 8 p.m.. Another episode will air on Monday, June 10th at 8 p.m. with the rest of the installments airing on Sundays. The series will take a break in July and season five will wrap on August 18th (see below for details).
It appears that the rescheduling of Good Witch is due to Hallmark’s decision to pull and rework the remaining episodes of season six of When Calls the Heart. That series returns on Good Witch’s former premiere date, May 5th.
Here’s the press release:
MORE MAGICAL ADVENTURES AWAIT VIEWERS IN SEASON FIVE OF ‘GOOD WITCH’ PREMIERING JUNE 9 ON HALLMARK CHANNEL
Catherine Bell, James Denton and Bailee Madison Return to Star in Network’s Highly-Rated Scripted Primetime Series
STUDIO CITY, CA – April 10, 2019 – “Good Witch” returns for more magical adventures in Middleton when season five premieres with a special, two-night event Sunday, June 9 (8 p.m. ET/PT) and Monday, June 10 (8 p.m. ET/PT) on Hallmark Channel. Based on the “The Good Witch” movie franchise, which is the most successful franchise in the network’s history, the series stars Catherine Bell (“Army Wives,” “JAG”), Bailee Madison (Just Go with It, “Trophy Wife”) and James Denton (“Desperate Housewives,” “Devious Maids”). Since the first movie premiered 11 years ago, Cassie Nightingale has become a character that Hallmark Channel viewers have fallen in love with and look forward to welcoming into their homes.
“Good Witch” will continue to air weekly on Sunday nights through Sunday, July 6, and will take a brief holiday during Hallmark Channel’s eagerly anticipated, annual “Christmas Keepsake” programming event July 12 – July 27. “Good Witch,” is a Whizbang Films Production in association with ITV Studios America. Darin Goldberg, Orly Adelson, Jonathan Eskenas, Frank Siracusa and Craig Pryce are the executive producers. Catherine Bell is co-executive producer. Janina Barrett serves as supervising producer. Colin Brunton is producer. “Good Witch” is distributed internationally by ITV Studios Global Entertainment.
What do you think? Do you like the Good Witch TV show? Will you be watching the series when it returns in June?
I HOPE THEY NEVER LEAVE THE SHOW OR REMAKE IT INTO SOMETHING ELSE BECAUSE PEOPLE ALWAYS LEAVE TO VENTURE OFF TO DO OTHER THINGS INSTEAD OF STICKING TO WHAT THEIR GOOD AT AND AND WHAT’S ALREADY MAKING THE MONEY FOR THEM US AS VIEWERS I’M SAYING ALL OF THIS BECAUSE I’M IN LOVE WITH THE SHOW AND SO IS MY 6 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER LOL THIS SHOW IS VERY INSPIRING MY DAUGHTER AND I WOULD LOVE TO COME SEE THE SET I CAN’T WAIT TO SEE OUR SHOW AND NOW IT’S GROWING ON MY HUSBAND….
Consider that the characters in the show are portrayed by real people. They have their own lives. Fan loyalty may be an inclination for them to remain on the show, but it shouldn’t be the only reason why they can’t move forward with their careers. What is entertainment to you is a job to them. Sure it may be more than a paycheck, but it may also be more than the adoration of their fans too. Everyone wants to achieve their potential in their chosen profession.
Thank you for this lovely show. Its so nice to watch something positive and happy without violence.
Love how the intuition is followed and things fall into place. The synchronicity is wonderful.
Look forward to more shows along this line.
Thank you so much.

I love the show. Its so nice to have positive things happening and no violence.
The synchronicity of the events reinforces how life is when we take notice of our intuition.

Good Witch is my favorite TV show! I’m disappointed in the programming delay. I also wish the seasons were longer. I can’t get enough of Good Witch!
So happy to see it air! Cannot wait!
Love the Good Witch series! Glad to see it will be airing!!!! Cannot wait!
I always look forward to The Good Witch and can’t wait for it to return. One of the best shows on Hallmark. Good writing. Love the way this show has evolved. Bring it on soon. Thanks.
I will forever be in love with The Good Witch
I like The Good Witch. I wish Hallmark would quit splitting series up for holiday promo’s. Finish a season, then move on to next.
Sorry to hear about the delay for Good Witch! I will be looking forward to it June!
I love the relationship of Sam & Cassie. I hope the wedding happens soon; it should open the door to many other adventures.
We liked watching the Good Witch series, since they started out as movies. Would rather they air in one block instead of splitting the season in two. Continuity!
I look more forward to this show than When Calls the Heart. It’s kind of disappointing that Good Witch has been delayed a month to wrap up WCTH for Season 6.
I absolutely love Good Witch, the series. I watch it on Netflix, it has the first three seasons. I bought the fourth season on YouTube. I honestly watch it weekly. Please, please keep this wonderful comic good-hearted, uplifting and clean show on the air. I know it’s been a success for Hallmark and Wiz Bang Productions. It’s a keeper. I find it to be a very uplifting show. God bless and thank you.
Disappointed. Thanks so much Lori Loughlin
