Good news for Grimm fans. Deadline reports NBC is developing a female-led spin-off from the cancelled TV show.
A supernatural drama, Grimm starred David Giuntoli as Nick Burkhardt, a homicide detective who is charged with keeping balance between humanity and the mythological creatures of the world. The cast also included Russell Hornsby, Bitsie Tulloch, Silas Weir Mitchell, Reggie Lee, and Sasha Roiz. The series ran on NBC from 2011 to 2017.
From writer Melissa Glenn, the Grimm spin-off will feature a female lead and see the return of “fan favorites while also introducing new characters, new dangers and epic new mysteries.”
What do you think? Are you a fan of Grimm? Would you watch the spin-off?
I truly hope this happens. This was one of my favorite shows and I am currently finishing the series once more. Watching it again made me look to see if maybe they might bring it back or have a spin-off. I hope to see some trailers if it in the near future.
GRIMM should not have been cancelled. We would have continued to watch it. They should have shown episodes with Rosalie having her triplets all the way through them growing up along with Nick & Adalind’s 2 children 20 years later.
We would watch the spin-off, but would hope that there would be some original cast members in the series including Nick, Adalind, Juliette, Rosalie to name a few.
I don’t find a female spin off very exciting sounding. I prefer the original actors as they were. I am a female and worked in a Male dominated industry. I had nothing to prove and made it to the top of my Industry without using the “female” card. The spin-off would have to be extraordinarily good to catch my attention.
Oh yes please bring back Grimm, it was a show that the producers thought outside the box and it kept my attention the whole time. LOVE the show and so miss it……
Oh YES, I so miss my Grimm show, one of the very best as the producers thought outside the box on this show and it kept my attention the whole time. Loved LOVE the show and so damn sorry it was canceled…….Bring back GRIMM please
Yes! Yes! Yes! One of the best-written, best-acted shows of all time. Twists on fairy tales plus creative story-telling in original directions combined to make an hour of pure enjoyment and intense entertainment. Bring back some of my faves, like Monroe and Rosalee, Trubel, Hank and the comic relief of Sgt. Wu, and with Nick and the kids, it should be another great ride.
