Grimm aired its 100th episode on NBC last week, and it has been a fight for the series to make it that far, according to David Giuntoli. He spoke about the series in an interview with The Los Angeles Times this week, and he made one shocking revelation.
Season six could be the last season for this series. NBC has not yet renewed the series though, so it could very well end with the fifth season. Fans will need to wait for news on the fate of the series.
The series’ 100th episode did answer a big question. Nick and Monroe found the treasure that was hinted at during the start of the series. They managed to uncover it on the last episode, and it had great power. It healed Monroe from an infected bite.
Giuntoli said the following about the future of the series:
“It’s very rare that an actor gets so many opportunities between “action” and “cut.” Most of your time as an actor is spent trying to get to that point, not living within those two points, and when you’re on a long-running series, you have so much time in between those two moments to actually yell “cut.” So, I’m ever grateful for all of the opportunities I get to kind of change it up — fix things, better things, tweak things. If we get a Season 6, it could very well be our last season, and it will be the first time that the writers would get to write to an ending. If we do, it’ll be a very fun ride, with major events.”

Please, Give Grimm more season(s), period. I, for one, am liking all the transitions the actors/characters are making and it, to me, gets more compelling and exciting. I think it’s much better than what the competition has going on on Friday Nights. I love this show AND the cast. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, DO NOT cancel this show!

This is a great show and I don’t think that the Nelson rating should dominate a shows standing. Please don’t necessarily watch live, they either look at it on Demand or DVR it or some new way of looking at their favorite show. It would be a shame if this show is cancelled.
Yes indeed! It’s a fun series to watch, and I think it could continue to engage the audience. The last episode, the 100th, made me wonder just how the series would proceed. There’s nothing else like it, Most everything else is either a police based or reality based show – this one is just plain fun. Thanks for keeping it going!
Oh not God! the series should end in season 5 not write a pathetic season 6, the finale should get cancelled now with a proper ending, with dignity, is so obvious that the writers do not have ideas news at all. Grimm is really tired , A season 6 with 0.9 of ratings???? Are they billionaires?? is time of news projects. this sucks

This show is terrific and I have watched it since day 1, actually giddily anticipated the very first show and was hooked! I do have to admit that the continued storyline on the Nick/Juliette/Adalind thread took away from the show..a lot of us just don’t buy where you have taken each character…now the 100th show was reminiscent of what Grimm is all about…Secrets, Old fighting weapons, diabolical dealings and threats…I also love that it is on Friday nights because this gives me an excuse to have wine and popcorn for dinner. There has to be a season 6, i never watched grimm till it was season 3 in the uk but once i realised how good it was i started at season 1 and was hooked watching back to back all night i now own all the seasons except 5 as its not out to own yet and i still sit and watch them over and over i cant imagine not having grimm to watch.
I’ve watched and loved this series from the beginning.
I hope and pray they keep it going!!
