Deadline reports Lucy Boynton has landed a role in the Gypsy TV show drama, coming to Netflix. She will play Allison, a 19 year old patient of therapist Jean Holloway (Naomi Watts), in the 10 episode first season of this psychological thriller from Universal Television, Working Title and writer Lisa Rubin.
The Gypsy TV series cast also includes Billy Cruddup, Brooke Bloom, Kimberly Quinn, Brenda Vaccaro, Poorna Jagannathan, and Melanie Liburd. Rubin and Liza Chasin executive produce alongside Tim Bevan, Eric Fellner, Andrew Stearn, and Naomi Watts. Sam Taylor-Johnson is directing the first two episodes of the series.
Gypsy follows the journey of Holloway, as the therapist begins to develop dangerous and intimate relationships with the people in her patients’ lives. It is slated to premiere in 2017.
