If you were waiting anxiously to find out the identity of the mysterious Magic Man on ABC’s Happy Town, you’ll have to wait a bit longer.
Happy Town revolves around a bunch of strange disappearances and murders in a small town. The large cast includes Sam Neill, M.C. Gainey, Geoff Stults, Lauren German, Amy Acker, Steven Weber, Ben Schnetzer, Sarah Gadon, Jay Paulson, and Robert Wisdom.
After a disappointing start in the ratings, Happy Town was pulled off the airwaves for much of May. Before the show could return on June 2nd, ABC officially cancelled the series. Only eight episodes have been filmed but at least answers to some of the TV show’s mysteries will be revealed by the end.
Unfortunately, ABC has pulled the show off the air once again. Happy Town was scheduled to take next Wednesday off but return for June 30th and July 7th with the last installments. The network has decided, likely because Happy Town’s ratings have gotten really bad, to replace them with repeats of Castle.
It’s likely that ABC will get around to airing the last two episodes of Happy Town on a Saturday night sometime this summer. It won’t be soon though. On July 3rd, they’ll burn off the last episodes of the forgotten. On July 10th, the network’s airing the extra two episodes of Eastwick. Could Happy Town return on July 17th? Another mystery that we’ll have to wait to have solved.
What do you think? Are you upset that ABC has pulled the last two episodes of Happy Town? Do you think they’ll ever air?

I was watching Happy Town because I have seen all the Castle episodes! I was hooked on Eastwick too…at least now maybe I will get to see the rest of those. This is why we watch cable!
Typical ABC, the vibe was negative before HT aired one episode. Spend money to film a show and then bury it so it never has a chance, self fulfilling loser prophecy. No wonder ABC continues to be behind the other networks.
Man, this really makes me mad. I was looking forward to Happy Town.
I am watching sports.
ABC would not recognize good programming if it came up and smacked them in the face….this is the result of too much moronic reality shows!
Bring Happy Town BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is ridiculous! So tired of watching series shows that keep you guessing and then they cancel them without giving answers! Shouldn’t be able to do that!
I find one good show on T.V. this summer that isn’t the same cookie cutter crap everyone is playing and ABC pulls it off the air. What is wrong with these people? Is it that tough to appeal to all people.
tired of getting started with a show and then it being pulled before its over
Anothewr cheap shot by t.v. execs who care nothing about the viewing public.
I liked that show and they never gave it a chance.
BOO ABC.
I am so sick of ABC pulling a good show right when I am really getting into it. Flash Forward and Happy Town were both great shows and now they are gone. I will not trust ABC again. I’m done.
Happy Town was one of the best shows I have seen in a long time. It actually kept my husband and I intrigued. We were looking forward to watching it tonight and saw that it wasn’t on. Boo for you ABC to do this to your viewers.
I cannot believe this! I loved Happy Town! I guess ABC would rather air reruns and relaity TV over good quality shows. Thank God CBS still offers quality shows. I am rather disappointed in this decision! At least attempt a season, not just 6 episodes! Look at Criminal Minds… it started off bad and then turned into a high rating TV show. I’ll stick with CBS from now on. Thanks for nothing, ABC.
ABC YOU OWE US. We spent time watching and you should show the last two episodes!
I’m very upset that Happy Town has been removed, if their not gonna bring it back they need to tell us who the Magic Man is, why pay all that money to make a movie if your not gonna run the entire series, it makes NO sense at all…BRING IT BACK!
Addendum ABC:
Are you sure you’re not FOX? BAM!
Networks do not make logical decisions. It doesn’t make sense to cancel a series and replace it with re-runs. Summer programing is bad enough and adding another series of re-runs only makes it worse. It is a good thing that I have a good collection of video DVD’s and tapes, If I must watch re-runs it will be something that I like, not something the networks decide I should watch.
