If you were waiting anxiously to find out the identity of the mysterious Magic Man on ABC’s Happy Town, you’ll have to wait a bit longer.
Happy Town revolves around a bunch of strange disappearances and murders in a small town. The large cast includes Sam Neill, M.C. Gainey, Geoff Stults, Lauren German, Amy Acker, Steven Weber, Ben Schnetzer, Sarah Gadon, Jay Paulson, and Robert Wisdom.
After a disappointing start in the ratings, Happy Town was pulled off the airwaves for much of May. Before the show could return on June 2nd, ABC officially cancelled the series. Only eight episodes have been filmed but at least answers to some of the TV show’s mysteries will be revealed by the end.
Unfortunately, ABC has pulled the show off the air once again. Happy Town was scheduled to take next Wednesday off but return for June 30th and July 7th with the last installments. The network has decided, likely because Happy Town’s ratings have gotten really bad, to replace them with repeats of Castle.
It’s likely that ABC will get around to airing the last two episodes of Happy Town on a Saturday night sometime this summer. It won’t be soon though. On July 3rd, they’ll burn off the last episodes of the forgotten. On July 10th, the network’s airing the extra two episodes of Eastwick. Could Happy Town return on July 17th? Another mystery that we’ll have to wait to have solved.
What do you think? Are you upset that ABC has pulled the last two episodes of Happy Town? Do you think they’ll ever air?

I dont get why there are only 2 episodes left that can not be aired but they can air 8 episodes?? why dont they just show the 2 final episodes back to back in one night. I understand the ratings have not bein good but what about the people who do watch happy town? its ridiculous!!
This is exactly why I don’t watch new shows because they don’t even give the show a chance. I thought it was a great show and like usual I won’t find out who the magic man is so I won’t be watching anymore new shows offered. Back to quilting for me.
Im SO sick of networks dumping new series near the end of a season. As if it’s not bad enough that many networks have wrapped many series already, but they have yanked MANY series that ppl have loved. I dont believe the BS about ratings b/c everyone Ive spoken to about various shows, has loved them & are just as ticked as I am. Im going to start going back to reading and renting movie DVDs because TV has become a s*** hole. They keep the reality crap of nobodys looking for fame, complaining and fighting in drunken rages and… Read more »
The show had a horrible script and a lot (not all) of horrible acting, though the bad acting could be contributed to the horrible dialog the actors had to say. it deserved to be canceled twice. Now just because i said that does not mean i am not a fan of the show, ive watched every episode on hulu and cant wait until the end is up. but watching Happy Town is more of a guilty pleasure then anything else, this show is like watching Trolls 2. Its so bad at times that it makes it more watchable. And Sam… Read more »
@Owen, you and I park our cars in the same garage, my brother.
Owen, I totally disagree. There are wonderful actors on this show, I wouldn’t have kept watching if what you said was true. It’s called “SUBTLE,” something a lot of people don’t get.
I hope they show the last episodes, I was really enjoying the show.
C’mon. Why do they have to keep cancelling the good shows? Do they even care about the people who are actually watching it? Apparently, not. Good luck, ABC. You can’t survive on comedies, alone.
I cannot believe they have done this to the viewers again. I will never, never, never watch another show of this type Shame on the network and the idiots that make these kind of decisions!
I enjoyed the show. They dont give shows enough of a chance to click with viewers.
I agree with Cindy…How are we supposed to trust a network if they pull our favorite shows. If you are going to put it out there for people to start watching… THEN LET THEM FINISH! VERY DISAPPOINTED!
Of course we are upset, this is the first time I have watched a mini series that was cancelled several times and won’t let us know who did what and if anyone is still alive. at least put the episodes on line.
the networks are so overpopulated with reality shows that happy town along with a few others like it are the only reason i turn on the tv. i want to see real actors with actual storylines if i wanted reality on every channel i would throw my tv out and enjoy my own reality.
seriously we need these dramas mysteries and comedies they are my way to relax and enjoy a story. oh well i guess more people will be turning off the tv and opening more fictional books.
I was really getting into it! At least let us see what happens, and give us some kind of clue who the magic man is!!!!
Once again … just ask me first; if I like a show then it will never complete! It took me a while to get into Happy Town but the last two or three episodes started to draw me in. I think it is almost criminal to start airing a show and then to end it with no regard to the viewer. If this was going to answer a few questions within the next two episodes then why not just let us see them right away? Those of us who like Castle know what went on there and don’t need to… Read more »
WHY DON’T YOU JUST LET THE SERIES FINISH.
Exactly. I’m sick of this crap.
Once again, the networks are ignoring a vast portions of the population that enjoys suspenseful drama. Not everyone is in to dancing and survival shows. I watch television to be entertained and it seems everytime I get interested in a show, someone at the network deems it to be unimportant and leaves me hanging. I guess this is why I buy so many dvds, because I know I will be able to see the ending of the story. Once again, networks take heed, you have an audience out here that enjoys dramas and are not interested in your contrived “bogus”… Read more »
I totally agree..this is the exact type of show I enjoy, I know it won’t be on forever, but at least let us get through it…I hate the so called “reality show”, I don’t care who can dance and really don’t care for someone on a deserted island with tv crews all around him..I enjoyed Harper’s Island and I was enjoying this show!!
