When it began, Heroes was a huge hit for NBC. But then, the storylines got too convoluted, much of the audience lost interest, the ratings dropped and the network cancelled the series without any resolution. Now, they’ve revived it as a mini-series called Heroes Reborn. Will it be a big success and be brought back for a second season or will it be a flop? Stay tuned.
Heroes Reborn takes place a year after a terrorist attack in Odessa, Texas. With the city destroyed, the government blamed people with special abilities and they all had to go into hiding. Noah Bennet (Jack Coleman) is also in hiding, but is found by conspiracy theorist Quentin Frady (Henry Zebrowski) who tries to show him the truth. The rest of the cast includes Zachary Levi, Robbie A. Kay, Kiki Sukezane, Ryan Guzman, Rya Kihlstedt, Gatlin Green, Henry Zebrowski, Judith Shekoni, and Danika Yarosh.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
1/13 update: Despite some hopes from the cast, NBC has decided not to order another season.
1/22 update: You can see the rest of the latest night’s ratings.
Note: If you’re not seeing the updated chart, please try reloading the page or view it here.
Note: Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
What do you think? Do you like the Heroes Reborn mini-series? Should it be cancelled or renewed for a second season?
I like the show. I am a fan of the orginal series, and I am happy it is back. I think it is a good show off to a good start. My fear is this is going to be like every new show since the show firefly that i thought was great, pulled before it reaches its prime. I have that dark cloud over me and any new show i like normally pulled after a season. Examples, firefly, and terranova. I also like revolution, falling skies, and the last ship. I think it should get renewed, but my fear is… Read more »
I’m so happy this show is back. It’s cool because I started & finished the first 4 right before it started up again. Not knowing that by the time I was done with season 4, Reborn was coming on. So it’s kinda like I never had to be without the show for years. I love it tho, def one of my favorite shows ever. Mad Claire Bear isn’t on there but I know she’s on another TV show. Other than that, I’m loving it. (hated season 4 tho)
I would love if they would just end it! Don’t get me wrong I love the orginal heroes, except season 4, but we all wanted the same thing, an ending. Why save the cheerleader? How is that going to save the world? Now we are trying to figure out how Claire’s kids can save the world. If they let this run more seasons we may never know. If they were smart they would just end the entire thing so we all can have peace about heroes. I mean wasn’t that what all the threads were about when the original was… Read more »
The Heroes Reborb series is addictive. I want more after every episode. I own the original Heroes series and I’m glad it’s updated and back on. Can’t cancel it now. It’s starting to really get twisted… I luv it!
Really enjoy it, and it’s not too bad, but the writing could be better.
I had high hopes for this series as a fan of the original. Some of the story threads are interesting but the real killer is the poor script and contradictions. As one example, look at the character Matt Parkman. In the original series, he constantly struggled with the ethics of using his power and it was an intense conflict for him. Now, all of a sudden, he revels in using his powers and, wait for it……for evil and self gain? Just makes no sense, and worse, no continuity. Bad writing and continuity are the bane of all great ideas…..shame.
People change which what happened to Parkman.
I liked the original series quite a bit, and for me this one feels like it has picked right up where it left off. My husband and I look forward to watching it. While we definitely miss some of the old characters, the new characters are great. I would be upset if they cancelled the show.
Please keep show, getting interesting. DON’T CANCEL let it play out a with time. Dont give up.
As a fan of the first two/three years, I was excited to see the show return. I thought the early segments were a little hard to track, but to my relief it keeps getting better and better. Please keep the series going!
In a rush. Misspelled. Sorry
AMF! Thus ends the “franchise.”
Heroes Reborn is joke far. If they don’t bring back some developed characters and give Hiro his powers back, this downward ratings trend will continue. So we trade angsty Claire for another mopey kid who effectively neuters Hiro? Also, they make Bennet look like a nincompoop. They have a serious obligation to explain where all the old characters are during this world disaster. Or are they just going to sit this one out as if nothing is going on? Yeah right. Don’t even get me started on Matt turning in to his father. How can anyone think this is good… Read more »
I love the show heroes reborn it is much better than the original one I look forward to it each week watching the new the new show I can’t wait to see next week so please renew it for another season it’s an excellent show.
My second favorite show after the Blacklist. Great acting, special effects, story line, and character development. Please don’t cancel!!!
Loving Heroes Reborn and loved the original as well. People complaining the story is difficult to follow, guess they never read a comic book or watched a movie with twists to it. Expecting a show to give you everything in the first two or three episodes is silly. The formula usually is, 3-4 episodes to introduce characters and learn their back stories which Reborn did. Also why do people that disliked the original so much come back to watch Reborn, then complain? What were they expecting. That’s like disliking cheeseburgers and then eating one after a long time and expecting… Read more »
I agree Glen. This is my favorite season of Heroes yet. It started slowly and I wasn’t into it after the first episode, but by the third episode I was hooked. Many times it is slow at the beginning of a series when you are getting to know the characters. But, those that gave it time were rewarded by the last three episodes. What a payoff for those that gave it time.
The problem with waiting 7, 8, or even 9 shows into a series for a “payoff” is that while you’re waiting for said payoff, it gets insufferably boring and frustrating. It is a bit like listening to somebody telling a joke that lasts 7, 8, or even 9 hours before they get around to the punchline. By then, you’re done with it and want to move on to something worth paying attention. That is a fault that far too many shows carry. You don’t have to reveal EVERYTHING early in a series, but at least give us SOMETHING. “Reborn” gave… Read more »
This show is terrible. Compete disaster and aninsul to anyone who lied the previous version. Soooo lame. You really think this version can stay afloat with this level of writing? Involving or at least clarifying what happened to the old main characters would help. Such a poor attempt. So sad. Cancel Cancel Cancel. Either that of bring back the big guns! Sylar especially. What were you thinking??
See, the difference between reading comic books and the show “Heroes: Reborn” is that comic books tend to weave storylines around one another in a way that is almost masterful. The story evolves and grows. “Heroes: Reborn” simply adds layer upon layer of pointless exposition, continuing to add layers of directionless storytelling until the show simply collapses upon itself. Personally, it has become such a disappointment that I actually look forward to reading the cancelation notice.
