The Hooten & The Lady TV show has been cancelled after one season on The CW in the US and Sky 1 in UK. The Wrap reports CW president Mark Pedowitz said, “We are pleased with the total viewing audience. We wish the 18-49 ratings were better.” Pedowitz also told reporters, “We were informed by the British yesterday that they were not planning to go forward with a season two.” The show is a Sky series, so it seems its fate is sealed.
A British action-adventure series, Hooten & The Lady follows American treasure hunter Ulysses Hooten (Michael Landes) and his British counterpart, Lady Alexandra Lindo-Parker (Ophelia Lovibond). The CW cast also includes Jessica Hynes, Shaun Parkes, Jane Seymour, Jonathan Bailey, and Joanna Scanlan.

What do you think? Are you a fan of the Hooten & The Lady TV series? Are you disappointed there will be no second season on The CW?
Please don’t cancel! I just stumbled upon this show, and it deserves a season 2!!!!!
Don’t cancel! It’s a very good show. Loved to watch it.
Love this show. it is so different from anything else with cops and lawyers and shoot ups. why would you end it before it gets a good chance. Big mistake.
Bummer it was cancelled. Found it On Demand and tried it out. Watched all the shows available and would have continued watching. Reminds me of the Tales of the Gold Monkey my family enjoyed.
This show is fresh and exciting – very fun. It is a welcomed break from the intensity of many other adventure shows that I watch and other tv dramas. My husband and I are very disappointed at the loss of yet another excellent and fun adventure show. The writers are very clever and the cast are perfect together. Please keep this show alive for a few more seasons and finish it well.
I am thoroughly disappointed this show has been canceled. Funny, adventurous and different. The one show I have enjoyed this summer and look forward to every week. I sure wish someone would change their mind.
This is the only show I watch live, because I find myself laughing out loud! Please consider more episodes.
I am thoroughly enjoying Hooten and the Lady. It is one of the bright lights in the summer season. Hopefully the powers that be will reconsider!
Love the show. Was really looking forward to it again this summer. It was a great change from reality tv and horror.
Terrible news. This is one show we eagerly looked forward to each week. Fun and educational. Well acted, beautiful sets and scenery. Phooey on Sky 1.
Hmm, cancelled by England’s Sky network. Show was sluggish in the Thurs. time slot, moved to Mon. After two weeks it showed a 12% increase. It’s numbers put it in the lower third of CW’s prime programs, some of which are renewed. This is a summer only show and most likely was cheap to plug in(no production cost). So could the CW pick this up and go with it?! This is a fun show with a mix of all genres. Cast is good, story line too. Yes, it looks pretty bleak, though one can still hope. Show #6 (Russia) was… Read more »
Absolutely devastated finally a great tongue in cheek adventure that we could all enjoy with great characters and great locations please renew the series as this series has never been given a chance to gain any kind of popularity especially after only one series. Unfortunately series like these are so rare and everyone I know who’s seen it which are many couldn’t wait for the second series. Please please reconsider!
I have enjoyed the show. It is one that the whole family could sit around the tv and watch. Too bad you are not going to continue the show.
This show was funny, well written and entertaining, plus the cast and their chemistry together was outstanding. I can’t believe that they cancelled a show like this and renewed other shows that aren’t nearly as good. Another network should seriously consider producing this series.
I am so sick of shows being canceled before they even had a chance to garner an audience. I will no longer watch any new show until it has been on for at least 3 years. Then I will watch on Hulu or Netflix and watch the first year and if I like then binge and catch up on its regular channel unless it has been canceled without a proper finish.
