It’s the beginning of the end for If Loving You Is Wrong on OWN. The cable channel has announced that the show has been renewed and the fifth season of the drama series will debut on Tuesday, March 10th, at 10:00 PM. The renewal comes as no surprise as stars of the series have said they’d already filmed episodes beyond season four.

OWN also revealed that there won’t be a sixth season since season five will mark the end of the series. It’s unclear how many episodes are left for If Loving You Is Wrong as the past seasons’ length has been inconsistent, ranging from 42 episodes (season one) to eight episodes (season four). Stars have celebrated filming 100 episodes so the fifth season will have at least 12 installments.

*Update: OWN later changed the fifth season premiere date to March 31, 2020.

The much-anticipated final season promises to be explosive and sexier than ever before while revealing some long-awaited answers to viewers’ burning questions. Life-changing catastrophes will leave the town reeling and changed forever.

“If Loving You is Wrong” had its original series premiere on OWN in September 2014. The series stars April Parker-Jones, Amanda Clayton, Edwina Findley Dickerson, Zulay Henao, Heather Hemmens, Charles Malik Whitfield, Eltony Williams, Joel Rush and Aiden Turner. It is produced for OWN by Tyler Perry Studios and created, written and executive produced by Tyler Perry.
