What’s This TV Show About?
An AMC martial arts drama, Into the Badlands stars Daniel Wu, Eleanor Matsuura, Stephen Lang, Sherman Augustus, Babu Ceesay, Orla Brady, Aramis Knight, Emily Beecham, Ally Ioannides, Lorraine Toussaint, Ella-Rae Smith, Lewis Tan, Dean-Charles Chapman, and Nick Frost. The post-apocalyptic series unfolds centuries into the future, in a feudal society called the Badlands.
Season three kicks off after Veil’s death. Sunny (Wu) and his son, Henry, are living off the grid, when the baby takes ill. Sunny teams up with Bajie (Frost) to journey back into the Badlands, where The Widow (Beecham) and Baron Chau (Matsuura) are engaged in a protracted war. Meanwhile, an enigmatic nomad named Pilgrim (Ceesay) arrives with claims of ushering in a new era of “peace.” Soon, enemies will ally themselves to defend the Badlands.
Season Three Ratings

I liked season 3 it got me more into it and I liked knowing Sunny’s background I would really like a season 4 just because I want to see how powerful Sunny gets and what happened to MK? Did he die? And also what will happen to the child, Henry?
It’s amazing how crappie shows remain and the good ones always get cancelled
So this is one of my favorite shows to watch and it seems they are gonna leave me hanging and cancelled my favorite show on Netflix I’m very mad that they would stop such a great show that could go anywhere and has do much potential this is very upsetting to me

Why did they cancel Into The Badlands????
We really loved the series and it had great reviews on IMBD. I don’t understand. They even ended season 3 leading up to another season. I hope they reconsider.

I’m bummed I loved this one but wasn’t that excited about the whole gun agenda they were hinting at
I thought the same thing at first but, judging from the way twists in the story have been thrown at us in past episodes, it could be a time coming where it will take more than swords to conquer the “evil that is buried”.
I am so gutted they’ve decided to cancel badlands as there is hardly any good martial arts programs full stop, but to find one aimed at a mature audience is near impossible and now that we had one they’ve cancelled it, again gutted!

I totally agree there needs to be some type of spin off or something.
Like the writers did with another great, short-lived series, Firefly. I hated to see that one end but if you’re going to end it, that’s the way to do it.
It’s so disappointing how you start something so cool and then cancel it after getting a lot of fans watching the show. Come on AMC be serious guys. Sunny just got the gift back and The Widow and you end the series like what the hell. This was a wrong move. This is like the best series you will ever make. I am already hooked to the series and to be told season closed. whats the reason. the only reason i see was they were not promoting the thing properly.
Right they do it all the time it seems to me I’ve got hooked on afew of their show just to have them drop it like wtf man I do here you on this sunny just getting his gift back and what about baby Henry bajie flea pregnant they left it so jacked up and incomplete lol

I no what you mean they need to stop doing that. You get hooked on a show and the characters then there is no ending it’s one thing to cancel a series but at least finish it for the fans that do watch it. We all feel cheated man.
Hi folks, to tell you the truth I didn’t know into the Badlands existed until 4 days ago. Loved it that much I’ve had a marathon run at it and finished tonight. So!! Thought I’d just see if series 4 ( or more ) was available and found this article to say its cancelled. Very disappointed, not everyone leaves ratings and try not to read too much into them. Get the show back on the road please!
I started watching only a week ago really like the show. That’s how I found this forum trying to find out if there was going to be a season 4. Really dissatisfied that there isn’t. So much left hanging about so many of the characters season 4 is a must.
I feel like, although the numbers may be down, there is enough of a cult following to keep the series alive. While it may not attract huge audiences, it has a devoted audience base. Which is better? A constant consumer base, or a “hit or miss” stab in the dark at a series to try to attract the masses? Both can be argued to be better than the other, but personally I do believe having devoted followers would make season 4 worth it. Dear AMC, It is extremely and vigorously disappointing that you would make 3 seasons of “Into The Badlands” and leave it ending the way your writers did. It is obviously not over and at least one more season to be made. I have now finished after rewatching, because I missed the very end of season 3. Now that I have gotten the chance, you guys are very disappointing to know you have ended a show the way you did. Leaving us viewers left in the dark. The ratings, really. Why is it, that when such a good series starts, has an amazing and engaging story, lots of suspense and mystery, it gets cancelled???… This is like Firefly all over again!!!… Personally I blame the millennials and younger generations who have nothing better to do than waste time watching the sewage of disfunctional reality TV….. It feels like “Idiocracy” is becoming a reality.

Agreed again, I mean how many f****** seasons can u have of kardashians to keep on going and AMC decide to cancel badlands that has plenty of unfinished story left to be told and just drop it, it says in the article about the 35-49 demographic that I fall into and NO I don’t bother rating shows and filling things out like that, people that fall into that demographic just like to watch and enjoy the program, that might’ve been a lot easier to do had AMC bothered to market the program at all!
