Fans of Kevin James may soon see him back on CBS. James was the star of The King of Queens, which aired for several seasons on the network.
Now, the network has a pilot starring James in the works, and the new comedy now has a director and a co-star for its pilot episode.
According to Deadline, Andy Fickman will direct the pilot, and Ryan Cartwright, from Alphas and Bones, will star alongside James.
A title has not yet been set for this new series. Deadline revealed that James will star as a “newly retired police officer Kevin (James) who looks forward to spending more quality time with his wife and three kids — only to discover he faces much tougher challenges at home than he ever did on the streets.”
