Is there a future for Kevin (Probably) Saves the World? Are you watching the ABC TV show? Do you think the network should change the timeslot for the low-rated series?
The comedy-drama, which currently airs on Tuesdays at 10 p.m. ET/PT, centers on Kevin Finn (Jason Ritter), a selfish and materialistic man who must commit acts of acts of kindness to save the world. The cast also includes JoAnna Garcia Swisher, Kimberly Hébert Gregory, Chloe East, J. August Richards, Dustin Ybarra, and India de Beaufort.
Since its October debut, Kevin (Probably) Saves the World has really struggled in the ratings. So far, season one is averaging a 0.72 rating in the 18-49 demo and only 3.029 million viewers, making it one of ABC’s lowest-rated series for the 2017-2018 season.
However, despite low ratings, the show seems to be popular with viewers. Kevin (Probably) Saves the World is currently one of the top-rated ABC shows in our viewer rankings. So what’s the problem?
Tuesdays at 10 p.m. ET/PT have been a trouble spot for ABC for several years. Many TV series have held the timeslot and have been cancelled after one short season. They including Combat Hospital, Killer Women, Of Kings and Prophets, Wicked City, Forever, Lucky 7, Detroit 1-8-7, and Mind Games.
Do think ABC should save Kevin (Probably) Saves the World by changing it to a better timeslot? When would you air it? Is it a better show than the ratings seem to indicate? Tell us what you think.
This is such a lovely whimsical touching heartfelt funny show – a delightful antidote to the never ending ugliness of our politics & our crime centered viewing options. I hope you will air it on a night when families might choose to watch; i e a broader segment of age ranges. I think teenage children could interest their parents and vice versa.
This shows in the ranking column here as a top ranked show. Who says this program has low rankings? Love the show, leave it alone.
Absolutely. It’s s great show at a bad time
Of course it’s the time slot. The show is absolutely wonderful. One of the few on television that I can actually watch with my kids. It’s hard for people to watch the show when it is aired late because most of us have to work and need sleep. If ABC cancels this show it would be a big mistake.
This show definitely needs an earlier time slot. It would see much better ratings if it did. Good, family-friendly, funny, feel good show!! Please don’t cancel it; just move it to an earlier time slot and you will see the ratings soar!!
Great show! A lot of people watch online now and/or record it. I don’t know if that affects the ratings or not.
I love “Kevin Probably Saves the World” so much it’s ridiculous. Please do anything necessary to keep it going. A timeslot that often underperforms would be a sad reason to lose what is (imho) the best show on television. (For reference, my last favorite was “Castle.”)
Need to keep this show around. Great show! Try rerunning in a different time slot to get more people a chance to watch.
Great show full of inspirational and pay it forward messages. Our society could use more shows like this and a better time slot would help.
This show is great don’t drop it.
Love the show, the timing is a little bad. If you put in an earlier time so I can watch itthe night of, but have to record it to watch it later because of my work and sleep schedule
Heartwarming show.Marketing it as a “comedy”is a problem. It is uplifting, positive, funny, sad and Ritter is pitch perfect.
I think they should DEFINITELY keep the show- change the time slot- do whatever—- just KEEP THE SHOW! It’s a good show!
I love this show. But it’s on too late at night. I have to tape it because I usually fall asleep at that time of night. Please don’t cancel this show. It’s one of the few on television I can actually watch with my kids.
We love the show, it is the only show on tv where we all sit down to watch together, because of the message of love, caring and compassion it has and because at times it has us laughing and in others sad. Thank you for this show. My husband loves it, says it is more of a Hallmark Channel show, but he loves it.
