Is there a future for Kevin (Probably) Saves the World? Are you watching the ABC TV show? Do you think the network should change the timeslot for the low-rated series?
The comedy-drama, which currently airs on Tuesdays at 10 p.m. ET/PT, centers on Kevin Finn (Jason Ritter), a selfish and materialistic man who must commit acts of acts of kindness to save the world. The cast also includes JoAnna Garcia Swisher, Kimberly Hébert Gregory, Chloe East, J. August Richards, Dustin Ybarra, and India de Beaufort.
Since its October debut, Kevin (Probably) Saves the World has really struggled in the ratings. So far, season one is averaging a 0.72 rating in the 18-49 demo and only 3.029 million viewers, making it one of ABC’s lowest-rated series for the 2017-2018 season.
However, despite low ratings, the show seems to be popular with viewers. Kevin (Probably) Saves the World is currently one of the top-rated ABC shows in our viewer rankings. So what’s the problem?
Tuesdays at 10 p.m. ET/PT have been a trouble spot for ABC for several years. Many TV series have held the timeslot and have been cancelled after one short season. They including Combat Hospital, Killer Women, Of Kings and Prophets, Wicked City, Forever, Lucky 7, Detroit 1-8-7, and Mind Games.
Do think ABC should save Kevin (Probably) Saves the World by changing it to a better timeslot? When would you air it? Is it a better show than the ratings seem to indicate? Tell us what you think.
My family and I love this show. It is nice to be able to watch something together without having to worry about inappropriate content. Thank you ABC! Please renew for additional seasons.
Why not Friday night? Alot of us can’t afford to go out and cable is our only entertainment. The acting is phenomenal. Please keep it.
This is an uplifting show that at the same time doesn’t take itself to seriously. There are as many laughs as there are serious moments. It would be a shame to lose such an excellent program because of low ratings. Due to the enormous number of shows on satellite, cable and regular TV, no one program is going to pull in the ratings you used to see with big hits like Seinfeld or Friends. Jason Ritter is everyman and I love that about him. The cast is excellent, the storyline is great. The show would undoubtedly benefit from an earlier… Read more »
This is a feel-good show that we can watch as a family. Jason Ritter is outstanding! I cannot stop laughing! Please do not take this show away!!!
I just started watching on Apple TV. Watched the first episode alone, then re-watched with my husband & then binge-watched the entire season. We LOVE this show. We laugh & cry in the same episode. PLEASE continue this wonderful show. Yes, maybe a different time slot will help!
This is a feel good happy family show – why is it on at 10PM? This should be an 8 PM slot so families could watch together – a show with people not trying to cheat or kill each other!
I probably contribute to the low ratings, even though I haven’t missed an episode. Tuesday is saturated with good shows, and because KPStW is on at 10, I DVR the show and watch on Wednesday.
I hope the recognize the popularity of this awesome little series. It would be a shame to lose it.
Such a great show! Keep it on the air!
I would love this show to come on earlier; however, absolutely positively no matter what time this show is on, IT WILL BE ON in MY HOUSE!!!! LOVE, love, love, love this show
This is a show worth keeping. One of the great things about the show is that we can relate to all the characters and their situations. These people could be our next door neighbours.
Obviously, if people have never watched it because of the time slot, they won’t know how good it is. Charming shows do well. This is charming, funny, and intriguing. Please put it in a time slot where it will have a fair chance. I like Jason Ritter, he’s great, and I love the show.
I think the show should move to Sundays at 8 or 9pm. It will bring a broader audience. the tone of the show doesn’t fit at 10.
This is the best show!!! My granddaughter constantly asks when the next one is coming on. She watches them over and over. She is 9. Please give this show a chance. It is the only good family left.
Please change the time of the show to a more family-friendly hour. Quality shows like this need to be given a chance.
A change is a wise move. Should be on earlier I think.
