(Silver Spring, MD) – It’s fright or flight on Friday nights! The world of the unknown debuts on TLC anchored by the new series KINDRED SPIRITS, which follows renowned ghost hunters Amy Bruni and Adam Berry as they help real families who are tormented by paranormal activity in their homes. Scared by the mysterious happenings, but hesitant to pick up and leave their homes, these families have turned to two of America’s leading paranormal investigators to capture evidence, guide the spirits into the light and bring closure to family. KINDRED SPIRITS premieres on Friday, October 21 at 10/9c immediately following the premieres of one-hour special GHOSTS OF SHEPHERDSTOWN at 8/7c and a new season of paranormal fan favorite A HAUNTING at 9/8c.
With the added stress that the spirits may be their own late family members, each episode of KINDRED SPIRITS introduces a new family that seeks help from Amy and Adam. In the premiere episode, the paranormal experts meet Catherine and her daughter, who live on a 34-acre property in Little Meadows, Penn. They’ve been experiencing multiple things that they cannot explain – smashed light fixtures, being woken up in their sleep and inexplicable scratches. It takes Amy and Adam multiple investigations to figure out who is bothering them, but more importantly, can they figure out why? It’s up to the experts to help this family reach closure by facilitating contact with the other side.
Kicking off Friday Night Frights on TLC is the all-new, one-hour special GHOSTS OF SHEPHERDSTOWN on Friday, October 21 at 8/7c. It’s been one year since a trio of ghost hunters investigated Shepherdstown, W.Va., to find out why it’s considered the most haunted town in America. In a community of 1,750 people, almost everyone has experienced something they couldn’t explain, resulting in an influx of 911 calls to Shepherdstown’s police department. In the special, cameras return to the haunted town for a check-in with residents and Police Chief Michael King to see if it’s still a hotbed for paranormal activity.
Then at 9/8c, paranormal fan favorite A HAUNTING returns with all-new episodes showcasing some of the scariest stories of supernatural activity. Through spellbinding first-person accounts, each episode profiles one family’s ghostly encounters. As the mystery and origin of each case is unraveled, audiences are left with a lingering sense that life after death is much more powerful than anyone could have possibly imagined.
For TLC, KINDRED SPIRITS is produced by Paper Route Productions, GHOSTS OF SHEPHERDSTOWN is produced by MAK Pictures, and A HAUNTING is produced by New Dominion Pictures.”
What do you think? Do you watch TLC? Will you check out new series Kindred Spirits?
I love seeing these two investigating hauntings for families. Amy and Adam were great on Ghost Hunters and truly missed their type of investigating. Surely hope the show continues as the paranormal field needs this format badly and would be very disappointed to see it end. Many of my friends feel the same way!!
This is a well produced programme which a logical sequence . Their search is the focus of the programme – not the investigators and their antics.
Our two investigators took their cases and did not treat the frightened families as 8-10 hour excursions. Amy and Adam did not fall into the pit making judgments like ” Is this place haunted?”
Let us see another season.
I really love watching “Kindred Spirits” with Amy and Adam. They are unique in the way they investigate and thats what sets them aside. They are packed with experience and the tools needed for the job. I look forward to many years watching them help people. “A Haunting” is my all time favorite long time running. Ive bought all the seasons released and watch the episodes as they come out. I hope the show never ends. With all the paranormal stories happening still to this day there should always be a story to tell…
I’ve been following ghost hunters for a couple of years, sad they ended but when I heard Amy and Adam were starting their own show I couldn’t wait you two are awesome and l for one can’t figure out if you guys are still airing, if so when?
This show has ripped off other shows…total garbage
I like the show Kindred Spirits i also enjoyed Ghost Hunters.
E.N.’Betsy’ Visco Hope they go longer on TLC airing for Haunting series all together makes sense not so scary factual history on sights by couple of finders ‘mediums’ calm under control with equipment!
I think A Hauntingly is a good fit for TLC. I hate to see Kindred Spirits buried on TLC because most viewers hit SYFY, Destination America, etc… for the paranormal shows. Amy and Adam need a chance and I’m not certain people will search to find them on TLC.
I’ve seen many paranormal shows , and truthfully most of them are so full of hyped up……NOTHING! I like this show because it’s a straight forward, matter of fact review, not trying to convince me of anything, just letting me make up my own mind. I’m not a skeptic, and not a believer. I hope the series continues. I’ll be watching.
Love the show! Please keep it on the air. I’m sick of cop and “reality” shows!!!
Thank you so much for bringing a Hanting back, one of my most favorite programs. I’m also loving Kindred Spirits, I am a big TV fan and we’ll definitely be tuning in to TLC on a regular basis. Thanks again
Love Kindred Spirits. Amy and Adam’s friendship shines through with a great watchable show.
Watched the show and the responses are to clear and direct? They seem to give the client what she wanted that it was her son and the little girl haunting the house. I think they’re following in Ghost adventures footsteps where the whole thing is faked. Not impressed! Rather watch Ghost Hunters! Sad I liked Amy and Adam on Ghost Hunters.
“Ghost Hunters” is THE MOST FAKE show of them all. Has been almost since the beginning.
I love the show but I have one problem with most of these shows. When the investigators come across a ghost or ghosts, it is their responsibility to cross them over or have a medium cross them. It broke my heart when Amy and Adam found 2 ghost children that were lost and didn’t attempt to have them cross to the light. Ghosts need to “go home”, not stay here on earth. It is not something a soul would choose to do after their physical deaths. Watch “Dead Files”. That is the proper way to help these people move on.… Read more »
EXACTLY they didn’t even offer to cross the child spirits over if they wanted to go!! I a going to tweet them about it.
I too, like ” dead files” – and ” the haunting of……” I really dislike the paranormal shows that tease or mock spirits, as I find doing so very disrespectful. It’s not a game!
Looking forward to watching “Kindred Spirits” with Amy and Adam. Their presence as well as approach to ‘ghost hunting’ has been missed. Can’t wait to see what they have planned for use.
