TV show description:
A follow-up to the successful 1980s TV series.
The new Knight Industries Three Thousand (KITT, voiced by Val Kilmer) is faster and more powerful than its predecessors. It’s a supercomputer automobile that can hack into almost any system; its weapons systems efficient; and its body is capable of actually shifting shape and color. On top of that, KITT’s artificial intelligence makes it the ideal crime-fighting partner: logical, precise, and possessing infinite knowledge. It’s the ultimate car — one that some would be willing to do anything to obtain.
Sarah Graiman (Deanna Russo) is a 24-year old Ph.D candidate at Stanford University who’s following in the footsteps of her genius father, Charles Graiman (Bruce Davison). After some men try to abduct her, Sarah receives a mysterious call from KITT warning her that he’s a creation of Charles, who also invented the first KITT 25 years ago — and that her father is in serious danger.
Together, they seek out the help of Mike Traceur (Justin Bruening), a 23-year-old ex-Army Ranger who has a strange connection to KITT. Mike left home at the age of 18, served in Iraq, and returned home feeling jaded and lost. Sarah and KITT eventually convince Mike to help them. They’re assisted by Carrie Rivai (Sydney Tamiia Poitier), a tough FBI agent who has a long friendship to Charles and Sarah.
The team succeeds and Mike is asked to pick up the original Knight Rider’s mission of trying to help the innocent, with the help of KITT. After meeting his father for the first time — Michael Knight (David Hasselhoff), the original Knight Rider — Mike decides to step up to the challenge.
Episode 17 — I Love the Knight Life
Mike and KITT must find a stolen experimental serum called HXP that maximizes physical strength it can be sold to North Korean buyers on the world market. When Mike corners the main suspect, Galt, he finds that the criminal has overdosed on the serum and possesses super-human strength.
First aired: March 4, 2009.
please bring back this tv shows please. this my childhood favourite tv show, dn,t cancel it please. i am from sri lanka . this tv series will get more rating than any other if you try to continue it, because everybody loves this. And who ever did cancel this show they sucks
Me too from Sri Lanka requesting to continue knight rider franchise.
Discontinuing this tv show was an insanely stupid move. ‘The Nielson Ratings’ company obviously has poor taste in movies. im 24 years old and i watched the old knight rider series and was happy that they brought it back new and improved. the ratings should be made be REAL people not a company with bad taste.
they sould make a second season of knight rider its a really good show and it should not have bin cancelled
sometimes, some channel would do this kind of “joke”: take a good show away, replace it with some scrap show. In my country, some channel always do that. but when I know that NBC do this thing too,I’m shocked! every person that I tell that KITT was renewed was surprise and wanna see the show. for me, some remaked show become disaster, but it’s not worked for KITT!
KITT WAS AWESOME UNTIL NBC STOPPED IT!
I got robbed, and they also took my TV. When I got a new one last week, I’ve been trying to wait for a next Knight Rider episode but it wasn’t there. I checked the internet only to find out that the show was discontinued. Then I said “what?”. Come on! This is a very cool show. Canceling this show is like taking someone’s heart out. Please don’t cancel the show.
No wonder the movie stop showing, Its canceled? This is a very great movie. I watch it till I get addicted =)
Everyone- the problems with the critics is this – The Nielsen Ratings. That’s their crutch. I have a forum post on TheWb.com where I am rallying a campaign to shut down the CW for good. I also signed the Knight Rider petition on this website and that if NBC doesn’t pick it back up- they would be foolish not to- a new WB network might (if Universal gives up the rights along with NBC). I would like to see Knight Rider back on NBC again because I thought is was really good and I thought that Zoe and Sarah were… Read more »
I don’t understand how they cancel something that the majority likes and replace it with stuff no one likes. Although they don’t really care about the genaral public only about the cridics. I say screw cridics and go with the publics point of view. Isn’t the public the ones who watches the 15-20 min shows and watch the commercials? the cridics don’t watch the commercials so wouldn’t you go with something that attracts people to your channel for that? Anyways Knight rider should stay point blank.
why would cancel a show like this it is better then the stupid reality shows that they have out
Come on, don’t cancel knight rider its one of the best shows on. Isn’t it bad enough you took away jay leno and look what happened there. you finally get a good show and you take it away. Seriously I don’t get it, why would you take off a show that people love. It really hasn’t gotten a fair chance. All the people I tell about it, watch it and love it. come on give it another chance.
NBC is canceling all these great shows like Knight Rider and puting all these new shows that are not as exciting and fun to watch like Knight Rider the one reason I watched NBC was because of Knight Rider, Chuck, and The Law & Orders Shows, Wheel Of Fortune, and Jeopardy! If those shows weren’t on then I wouldn’t watch NBC!!!! Most of the good shows that have stayed on the air are on CBS!!!!!
I LOVE KNIGHT RIDER!! PLEASE GIVE IT A CHANCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
PLEASE DON’T CANCEL KNIGHT RIDER!!! It is such a great show!! Give it another chance! Maybe if NBC advertised it as much as they do those other shows it would have a bigger audience. Someone needs to update the rating system cause obviously its all screwed up.
Don’t know what are you thinking canceling this great program. I watched the original show and I love it too, now with better tech better effect, different, good for all the family. I hope another station will take it.
