Bam goes the dynamite! Comedian Maria Bamford has announced her new Netflix series, Lady Dynamite, will premiere on May 20th.
The series is produced by Arrested Development creator Mitch Hurwitz.
Lady Dynamite is based on Bamford’s own life as a stand-up comedian. Deadline reports the single-camera comedy “tells the story of a woman who loses- and then finds- her s**t.”
Guest stars for the series will include Sarah Silverman, Patton Oswalt, Jon Cryer, Adam Pally, and Tig Notaro.

What do you think? Are you a fan of Maria Bamford? Will you watch Lady Dynamite?
I’m very impressed with several original offerings from Netflix, but I must say, after looking at the trailers above, I will NOT bother with Lady Dynamite. The use of ridiculous in their description of the star seems appropriate.
