While the second season of Legend of the Seeker is still airing, a significant decision has already been made about the possibility of season three.
Legend of the Seeker is a fantasy series about a young woodsman (Craig Horner) who discovers he is actually destined to be a heroic Seeker. The series also stars Bridget Regan, Bruce Spence, Craig Parker, and Kevin J. Wilson.
The show is produced by ABC Studios and airs in syndication, primarily running on stations owned by the Tribune Company. The show debuted on November 1, 2008 and was renewed for second season after just 10 episodes had aired.
Season two kicked off on November 7, 2009 and now, after 13 episodes have aired, Tribune has decided they’ve had enough. According to KsiteTV and a representative of Tribune, the show’s ratings haven’t been good enough for them to renew Legend of the Seeker for season three.

While ABC has not made an announcement that the show has been cancelled, the Tribune Company represents a large percentage of stations that carry the series. ABC will have to do a lot of legwork to get it picked up by enough other stations.
The big questions are if the ratings are good enough for other stations to want to pick up the show and if the revenue will warrant ABC keeping the show going.
Co-Executive Producer Mike Sussman isn’t ready to give up just yet. Yesterday, he twittered a photo his show’s hero with his favorite Mark Twain quote, “The reports of my death are greatly exaggerated.”
The remaining episodes of season two kick off on March 20th.

I have to admit, I’ve grown a bit fond of the show, and would hate to see it go. Besides, NOT seeing Tabrett Bethell on tv anymore would just make me sad.
They better not cancel LoTS!

I have come to truly like these characters as much as when I was a Xena & Hercules fan. At least this show teaches kids about what’s right & what’s wrong & sometimes you have to sacrifice for the greater good. That’s a good lesson. I think alot of young people don’t understand that because everything is handed to them. They don’t have to work hard for it. Plus this show is just fun to watch! Like I said, it reminds me alot of Herc & Xena. Please keep it & renew it ABC!!
This show has high quality writing, production, story line and, most certainly, high quality acting. Such a disappointment that it might not continue. There are no other shows like it right now and fills a niche that is very entertaining. I hope there is a change of heart. This show is worth keeping!
Please, Legend of the Seeker has to be renewed for at least a 3rd season!

Please give Seeker a third season! Fantasy tv is where it’s at nowadays with the popularity of LOST and Fringe and HBO’s new series! Look at how well Xena and Hercules did! Give Seeker a chance to do as well. There are Scifi Friday shows that don’t even pull in as many ratings!
Yes! Legend of the Seeker deserves to be saved. It is a great show and has an extremely loyal and large fan base!
Yes, that’s aboslutely right – the fan base is large and becomes bigger and bigger. There are fans all over the world who can’t get enough of LotS! Me for example, I’m German and I adore this show! If I lived in the US, I would watch Season 2 every day it’s shown on TV! 🙂

amid the vast quantity of cop shows, medical dramas, soaps and reality Tv shows , Legend of the seeker stands out as pure escapist entertainment. it is the only programme I have really looked forward to each week since the end of Battlestar Galactica. I will be crushed and very sad to see this series cancelled.
This show is too good to let go! There’s nothing like it on TV, so we need season 3! The best advice I think is to watch the show and get your friends and family to watch as well. Send a message loud and clear, that there is an audience! The times are not good in most markets, so people need to find out when it’s on in their area. I found it on the show’s website (see link.)

It would be a shame not to have a season 3, 4, 5, etc. This show is so worth it! The cast is amazing. The show has great appeal to all ages. Where can you find a show that delivers great moral standards, good always wins over evil, wizards, magic, terrfic costumes, wonderful scencry and just a great escape from day-to-day living.
A show that has all for everyone and yet, they want to cancel because it’s quantity over quality.
