Lethal Weapon is nearing the end of its second season, but will there be a third? Deadline reports star Clayne Crawford’s on-set behavior might risk a season three renewal from FOX.
Based on the hit film franchise, the buddy cop drama centers on two very different cops working together on the streets of Los Angeles. The cast includes Crawford, Damon Wayans, Keesha Sharp, Kevin Rahm, Jordana Brewster, Johnathan Fernandez, Dante Brown, Chandler Kinney, and Michelle Mitchenor.
According to Deadline, Crawford has a “history of bad behavior on the show, and that he has been disciplined several times over complaints of emotional abuse and creating a hostile environment.”
Neither FOX nor Warner Bros. TV have commented on the situation, but it appears Crawford’s behavior could risk a renewal for Lethal Weapon.

This is my favorite show. I love the interaction between Murtaugh and Riggs. And, the acting by all the characters is superior. So bummed out Riggs got shot. Please save Riggs! Thank you!

My son and I love Lethal Weapon. We were shocked that this could be the end of the series. We look forward to it. the show has it all…..love, hate, buddies, humor. I would love for all the characters to remain, but understand if one is creating a hostile work environment. I would still watch if the right chemistry was there. We are saddened.
It’s a great show—lots of action but it’s the deeper drama surrounding Rigg’s life that really draws me in. Murtaugh’s life and personality are the perfect contrast. The differences in their personalities creates humor and drama. The show is funny, serious, action packed, and thought provoking. I’ve enjoed it and would hate to see It cancelled.
I watch LW every week with my husband who doesn’t watch much TV also sits to watch Lethal Weapons. I hope it does renew, it is such a great serious between comic and drama with actual comic and drama going on very different from shows who try to do the same and don’t succeed as this series does. So Crawford if its true that you are being hard to work with please don’t. You are very good and its so wrong to do wrong to the people you work for or with. Lethal Weapon is a great show but the reality is that due to these internal feuds the show will most likely get that axe. Don’t get me wrong I would love to see a third season. The first season was fabulous but it’s a shame that actors sometimes becomes full of themselves and believe that the show can’t go on without them.
I’m sorry to read about Clayton’s behavior on the set of Lethal Weapon, however the casts chemistry on air is perfect! Please find another way of dealing with it and bring the show back WITH ALL THE CHACTERS!
Have watched the show since it started. Great writing and really good on screen chemistry between Clayne Crawford and Damon Wayans. Sounds like not so good off set, but the result is a great show. Just got my husband to start watching about 3 episodes ago. Please renew.
Don’t cancel. Renew season 3. Keep the same cast. The actor playing Riggs has made the character (which could be dark and negative) both vulnerable and dispassionate. Cleverly combining multifacets of Riggs persona shows his excellent acting skills. That and playing against his partner in the series just is very good TV. I look forward to watching the series each week. My son also enjoys it.
My family loves Lethal Weapon. Please bring Clayne Crawford back. He and Damon Wayans are a perfect match. If not, I will not be watching if it is renewed. No one can replace him.
I agree with you 100%. No one can replace Crawford. Yes I wish very much that would be a third season but if Crawford is not there is much is I like the other characters I will not be willing to watch as the whole storyline spins around him his personality and that is something that cannot be replaced.
