It looks like the story of the Sutton clan has come to an end. ABC Family has quietly decided to cancel Lincoln Heights after four seasons.
Lincoln Heights tells the story of Officer Eddie Sutton (Russell Hornsby) who moves his family back to his old neighborhood. Other castmembers include Erica Hubbard, Nikki Micheaux, Rhyon Brown, Mishon Ratliff, Robert Adamson, and Michael Reilly Burke.
The TV show debuted on January 8, 2007 and the first season was successful enough to warrant a renewal by March. At that point, it was one of the cable channel’s higher performers in the key demographics.
While announcing that the second season would kick off in September 2007, ABC Family President Paul Lee said, “We really think we have something unique here… The fact that it’s an African American family drama alone separates it from the crowd, but its terrific cast and superb writing also make it truly special and perfect for ABC Family.”

Following season two, it took several months for ABC Family to decide to bring Lincoln Heights back for a third round. They finally did and that kicked off in September 2008. The audience grew and the show became the cable channel’s top performer among Females 12-34 and Female teens. It didn’t take as long to renew the series for year four.
Season four kicked off in September 2009. It ended up being one of the channel’s weaker programs of 2009, being outperformed by other ABC Family shows, including cancelled Kyle XY.
No specific reason was given for the Lincoln Heights cancellation. However, though it’s been favored by some critics, the series has never been a big hit for the cable channel and has only been given 10 episode renewals each season.

I really want Lincoln height to come back on. Also by reading other comments I can see a lot of others want the same thing. So if we are passionate about this show we should try some way to get it back on and keep it on. I recently went on abc family website and down to the contact section. This show is so great. I watched all the episodes on netflix. I really don’t like when good shows are taken off. I mean this show had real life problems and made viewers relate. Well it been about 7 years since it’s been on, but they totally could bring it back. All of main cast seem to be doing good and looking well. They could pick up saying a certain amount of years later. Also show more of the other talents that the cast members had, like mishon and Rhyon Nicole Brown. I started watcheding Lincoln Heights when it was on TV but sort of lost track of it. I started whating it on Netflix and fell in love all over again and caught up with the series. I was sadden to find out that there was nothing pass the 4th season. Bring it back…PLEASE! My kids love it. It deals with things many people deal with in every day life.

Me and my girlfriend was looking through Netflix and were trying to find shows too start watching, and we decided to give Lincoln Heights a try! Yep you guest right we fell in love with it! it gave us something to do as a couple and it was a good thing it brought us together even closer. The season finale was great but it would be awesome to bring back one more season please! please! please! thank you and God bless!!!!!
Lincoln heights was one of the best shows every to be put onto abc family, just for them to end the series like that is just wrong. I think they should make more seasons of it and they wont be sorry for it. More people will probably start to watch it more to see that family is the most important thing in life with or without money you will always have the people who loves you most FAMILY
