Since no new episodes of the Lucas Bros. Moving Co. and Stone Quackers TV shows have aired since the middle of 2015, it was pretty clear FXX had cancelled the animated series. Now we have confirmation that both shows are over, at least for now. Deadline reports no new episodes are being produced for the Animation Domination High-Def (or ADHD) programming block, which originally debuted FOX.
That said, FX Networks CEO John Landgraf told the news outlet, “We have access to the ADHD library. Some of these shows may air on FXX over time, and it’s possible we may commission subsequent cycles of one or more of these shows. A number of them were quite good.” Keith Lucas and Kenneth Lucas created Lucas Bros. Moving Co. and, along with Jerrod Carmichael, voiced the main characters. Stone Quackers comes from creator Ben Jones, who voiced the character, Barf. The voice cast also includes Heather Lawless, Clay Tatum, Whitmer Thomas, John C. Reilly, and Budd Diaz.
Stone Quackers ran for one season on FXX from October 2014 to July 2015. Set on the fictional Cheeseburger Island, the series features the misadventures of Whit (Thomas) and Clay (Tatum), and friends Barf and Dottie (Lawless), as well as Officer Barry (Reilly), and neighborhood kid Bug (Diaz).
Lucas Bros. Moving Co. premiered on FOX in November of 2013, but eventually moved to FXX. The series features identical twin brothers who run a moving company out of their van. The show was inspired by the creators’ experience as cable television installers.
What do you think? Were you a fan of the Lucas Bros. Moving Co. and Stone Quackers TV shows? Should they have gotten additional seasons on FXX? Sound off, in the comments.
Bring back stone quackers!!!
Why can’t ya just drop season 2
Stone Quackers is one of the best adult cartoons of all time in my opinion. When it was cancelled I was pissed. How do you make a show that awesome and let it be canceled!?
I loved stone quackers! There’s not enough shows like this and if they just ran it through hulu it would be far more successful at targeting the 18-35 demographic. Regardless of where it is ran I would like more to be produced especially since I adore underrated shows.
Bring back Lucus brothers soon funny!
Stone Quakers was a great show, I have yet to watch Lucas bros. What I think the problem is is the TV networks don’t realize the younger generation does not watch cable nearly as much. I only have Netflix and Hulu, I have an At&t DirecTV Now channel streaming account, but rarely use it. Cable TV is not worth the money to me, especially considering how many ads they’re are. Hulu premium and Netflix together are a quarter of the cost, I never see an ad, and I can watch whatever I want. Cable is unnecessary, unless you’re an old… Read more »
Please bring Lucas Brose back it’s in amazing show I think even better than Rick and Morty. Perfect stoner comedy and perfect mash up of everything we love from the 90s, perfect show for millennials or 90s babies. There’s just so much potential with this show.
The Lucas Bros. Is an amazing show! It blends the old school with the new school in a twisted, stoney-minded animated world. A show for stoners and slackers everywhere! Season 3 would be great on Adult Swim or FXX, as long as it stays on Hulu!!!
Lucas brothers was amazing !!! I watch the first season on repeat , it’s honestly too clever and hilarious . I hope it gets picked up by adult swim or something !!! Great show .
I need more Stone Quackers.
Both of these show are exceptional. I don’t believe they got the proper promotion that they deserved. It is definitely a good break from the generic “human family” cartoons that are getting spit out across the board. Solid jokes in each show and excellent voice actors. Stone quackers needs another season. Excellent writing and animation. Very very funny 5/5
Lucas Bros is an amazing show and I’m sure it could be picked up by Adult Swim for a second season
Just discovered the show on Hulu after seeing their stand-up on Netflix. LOVED IT! Hopefully Netflix will pick it up.
I just discovered lucas bros. Good show kinda bummed they won’t have anymore. Should go to adultswim.
RIGHT! All seem far more fit for AS.
Damn, was waiting on a Lucas Bros season 3 to come out. Sad to see this show was discontinued.
Yeah, I just realized I hadn’t seen the show in quite a while—used to watch Fox’s “Animation Domination” series on the regular. Came across a recent interview with the brothers–they didn’t mention anything about the show, though.
