TV show description:
This horror black comedy series is based on the characters created by Neil Gaiman, Sam Kieth, and Mike Dringenberg for DC Entertainment’s Vertigo imprint. It’s the story of the original fallen angel — Lucifer.
Bored and unhappy as the Lord of Hell, Lucifer Morningstar (Tom Ellis) has abandoned his throne and retired to Los Angeles. There, he owns an upscale nightclub named Lux. Charming, charismatic, and devilishly handsome, Lucifer is enjoying his retirement, indulging in a few of his favorite things — wine, women, and song.
His bliss is disturbed when a beautiful pop star is brutally murdered outside of his club. For the first time in roughly 10 billion years, he feels something awaken deep within him as a result of this murder. Could it be (perish the thought) compassion or sympathy?
These thoughts disturb both Lucifer and his best friend and confidante, Mazikeen aka Maze (Lesley-Ann Brandt). Maze is a fierce demon who’s taken the form of a beautiful young woman.
The murder outside the club attracts the attention of LAPD homicide detective Chloe Decker (Lauren German). She’s initially dismissive of Lucifer but she soon becomes intrigued by his talent for drawing out people’s secrets. Chloe also likes his desire to dispense justice, doling out punishment to those who deserve it.
As they work together to solve the pop star’s murder, Lucifer is struck by Chloe’s inherent goodness. Accustomed to dealing with the absolute worst of humanity, Lucifer is intrigued by Chloe’s apparent purity and begins to wonder if there’s hope for his own soul yet.
At the same time, God’s emissary, an angel named Amenadiel (DB Woodside), has been sent to Los Angeles to convince Lucifer to return to the underworld.
Can the Devil incarnate be tempted toward the side of Good — or will his original calling pull him back toward Evil?
Episode #93 — Partners ‘Til the End
Desperate to rescue Rory, Lucifer and Chloe confront her kidnapper with guns and wings blazing. Lucifer finally comes to terms with his purpose.
First aired: September 10, 2021.
What do you think? Do you like the Lucifer TV show? Should it have been cancelled or renewed for a seventh season on Netflix?
this program is one of m favs. I hope it will stay on for many seasons.
Mark Styles I think the show is amazing. It gives a great insight to many things.. Quite a novel concept to think of Lucifer as a good guy gon wrong.. I don’t understand all the hate about it.. You don’t see naked chicks, getting raped, and mindless violence, or examples of people doing really evil things and getting away with it.. This on the other hand shows examples or wrong; vs right. The humor of it, really puts a spin on things. Like common folks, this is fun. don’t take it so literally.. The news every night is far more… Read more »
Tom Ellis is amazing! Perfectly cast in a perfect show!
I love Lucifer – I record it and saw there were only 11 episodes – there should have been one on December 5th – Usually series are for 13 episodes. I sure hope it isn’t cancelled. This is the first TV series that I’ve actually liked enough to look forward to every week.
There will be 22 episodes and we may meet Dad in episode 14. One episode will be about Lucifer first arriving in LA. Since the ratings are steadily going up the smart thing FOX could do is renew Lucifer for Season 3 earlier than the normal renewal time. In addition to the humor, themes, etc. one of the great things about Lucifer is the way the characters are being developed. The characters we see now are not the same as when we first met them. If the writers continue to do what they are doing now this show could be… Read more »
Really like the show Lucifer hope it keeps going.
lucifer is my best tv show, if i watch one episode today all i do is wait next week so that i can watch another episode. please don’t pull of this program because i may go nuts if you do.
I am addicted to this TV show I hope and pray that it continues because if not I will go nuts jiji cause I am really in love with the serie.
I have been watching Lucifer since 1st episode. I usually don’t spend much time watching TV, but this show has me hooked. Love it, hope it isn’t pulled off the shelf. There is so much bad programs on, I hope we don’t lose this one.
Lucifer works on so many levels: humor, themes. characters, etc. If FOX is smart they’ll renew Lucifer now instead of waiting until May. Apparently when Lucifer returns in Jan there will be no more hiatuses.
I was watching the promo for Episode 11 and it looks like Chloe has contracted a haemorragic disease from the latest case. So it’ll be interesting to see who saves her. I wouldn’t be the least bit surprised if it’s Mom as this would fit in perfectly with her plans to have Luci return to the Silver City. If the writers plan to have a Chloe-Luci romance I hope they do it the old fashioned way slowly developing the relationship and leaving the sex to the very last thing that happens. Luci started out investigating why Chloe is immune to… Read more »
Lucifer is pathetic, a show full of bad jokes, with a ship where never will happen anything, they will cancell this before the writers put what the people is waiting that happen between Clhoe and Lucifer, always is the same story.
As a general rule in comedy shows once the boy gets the girl the show is essentially over. The great thing with the Chloe – Luci relationship is how their relationship is slowly changing over time. Part of the fun is that we, as the audience and the other characters in the show know what is happening between Luci and Chloe but these two characters themselves don’t know.
Please renew Lucifer for few seasons. Best show on along with the blacklist which is incredibly slow at times and doesn’t need the sad/tortuous music all the time, but otherwise great story lines. I’m a bit miffed that I have to wait till mid Jan for next episode but will listen to sound track to keep me entertained.
Kind regards
John
Love it so glad Tom gets to keep his English accent best show so funny
LUCIFER is probably the best show on FOX period. FOX claims Empire is, but that show SUCKS!!! If LUCIFER is not getting the ratings Monday night (during Football Season), I dare FOX to pull Empire from its cozy Wednesday Night schedule and switch it with LUCIFER. Actually that would be better for me anyways, LETHAL WEAPON followed by LUCIFER, that would make one great night!!!!! Now just have to move Gotham closer in and add a decent show to the lineup. Please renew LUCIFER for seasons 3,4,&5 just like you did Buffy around this same time period. LUCIFER packs all… Read more »
Empire is, indeed. Not Lucifer . They´re right.
It’s interesting that Amenadiel just assumed that Luci’s deal with Dad involved meant saving Chloe’s life regarding Malcolm. I guess Luci didn’t correct him that the deal was that Dad protect Chloe so if Charlotte and Amenadiel “befriend” her then they are following Dad’s plan. How ironic is that. So far Dad is keeping his end of the bargain but Luci doesn’t yet realise it. Chloe and Lucifer are the ideal match: she is reason and intellect, he is passion and emotion and together they make one whole. The writers are doing a great job in showing how these two… Read more »
Please renew Lucifer for a third season!!!! This is my favorite show. It is the best show I have seen in many years! I love the comedy, romance, drama, crime, sci-fi all wrapped up into one. The way the characters are becoming friends and interacting this season it brilliant. I just watched episode 10, and it’s going to be torture to have to wait until mid-Jan for the next episode! Plus Tom Ellis is so adorable!
The court scene when Luci was testifying was absolutely hilarious especially when he borrows the juror’s scarf or the scene where he tells Maze that she now has 2 new toys.
