TV show description:
This horror black comedy series is based on the characters created by Neil Gaiman, Sam Kieth, and Mike Dringenberg for DC Entertainment’s Vertigo imprint. It’s the story of the original fallen angel — Lucifer.
Bored and unhappy as the Lord of Hell, Lucifer Morningstar (Tom Ellis) has abandoned his throne and retired to Los Angeles. There, he owns an upscale nightclub named Lux. Charming, charismatic, and devilishly handsome, Lucifer is enjoying his retirement, indulging in a few of his favorite things — wine, women, and song.
His bliss is disturbed when a beautiful pop star is brutally murdered outside of his club. For the first time in roughly 10 billion years, he feels something awaken deep within him as a result of this murder. Could it be (perish the thought) compassion or sympathy?
These thoughts disturb both Lucifer and his best friend and confidante, Mazikeen aka Maze (Lesley-Ann Brandt). Maze is a fierce demon who’s taken the form of a beautiful young woman.
The murder outside the club attracts the attention of LAPD homicide detective Chloe Decker (Lauren German). She’s initially dismissive of Lucifer but she soon becomes intrigued by his talent for drawing out people’s secrets. Chloe also likes his desire to dispense justice, doling out punishment to those who deserve it.
As they work together to solve the pop star’s murder, Lucifer is struck by Chloe’s inherent goodness. Accustomed to dealing with the absolute worst of humanity, Lucifer is intrigued by Chloe’s apparent purity and begins to wonder if there’s hope for his own soul yet.
At the same time, God’s emissary, an angel named Amenadiel (DB Woodside), has been sent to Los Angeles to convince Lucifer to return to the underworld.
Can the Devil incarnate be tempted toward the side of Good — or will his original calling pull him back toward Evil?
Episode #93 — Partners ‘Til the End
Desperate to rescue Rory, Lucifer and Chloe confront her kidnapper with guns and wings blazing. Lucifer finally comes to terms with his purpose.
First aired: September 10, 2021.
What do you think? Do you like the Lucifer TV show? Should it have been cancelled or renewed for a seventh season on Netflix?
Lucifer is well written and is biblically founded. Cancelling it would be a mistake. We don’t need another reality show. Keep Lucifer on so we can be entertained. I like the smartness of the show.
Lucifer is fun and different. The main characters are excellently cast and have a chemistry that really works. I wish they would let Lucifer have more powers though. It would be funny to see what a dashing fabulous bad boy can come up with and be a little more comical. Love the show!
The problem with giving Luci more powers is that they can be unbelievable. We already know that he is physically stronger than Amenadiel and perhaps if Luci still had his wings he might have powers that we aren’t aware of.
I like the show and hope they dont cancel it.
Please don’t cancel. Very amusing and different.
Do not cancel best show on funny and definitely entertaining something different, I tape all shows and when this one comes up I definitely watch it first.
Please, please do not cancel Lucifer. I love the show. It’s great, funny and devilish.
Another great thing about the show is the way the characters are evolving; the ones we see today are not the same as they were in the first episode. I also like the way the writers tie in the themes to previous episodes.
I just looked up the episode guide for Lucifer. We get 3 episodes in January and then none until May. What is FOX thinking? Is it to get us through the summer?
Absolutely agree. I find most tv same ole same ole stuff. I use tv for the company, not the programming lately. BUT Lucifer is wonderfully entertaining. I look forward to watching every week. What is with the three “teasing” episodes and done again? You guys finally found something new that isn’t a remake of something I watched in the 80’s and you can’t keep it going. Let’s keep something refreshing and exciting on tv for a change. So tired of pretend super heros every night. Give us MORE Lucifer already!
Please do not cancel lucifer! We like this show and it’s hard to find a show my boyfriend and I agree on and this is 1 we have both gotten into!
Please don’t cancel lucifer it’s one of the best new shows on.
No don’t cancel lucifer. My daughter in law and I love this show.
Lucifer is one of the best shows on TV, please, please, please do not cancel it.
I like Lucifer. I do not believe it should be canceled. It is a interesting and witty show that makes you think. It beats the inane drivel most networks are calling entertainment these days.
please renew the show is clever witty funny and i’m tired of shows ending without proper closure
the cast is awesome Please give us one more season Please
Great show, good writers and a well acted cast, hate to see it cancelled.
Please DO NOT CANCEL LUCIFER!!!!!! Best Show on TV Hands Down. Me, my Husband and a lot of people in our neighborhood get together and watch this show. Love the down to earth way the writers write the show. Also, Love the Music.
Best show We’ve Seen and Look Forward to Watching in a Very Very Long Time.
