TV show description:
This horror black comedy series is based on the characters created by Neil Gaiman, Sam Kieth, and Mike Dringenberg for DC Entertainment’s Vertigo imprint. It’s the story of the original fallen angel — Lucifer.
Bored and unhappy as the Lord of Hell, Lucifer Morningstar (Tom Ellis) has abandoned his throne and retired to Los Angeles. There, he owns an upscale nightclub named Lux. Charming, charismatic, and devilishly handsome, Lucifer is enjoying his retirement, indulging in a few of his favorite things — wine, women, and song.
His bliss is disturbed when a beautiful pop star is brutally murdered outside of his club. For the first time in roughly 10 billion years, he feels something awaken deep within him as a result of this murder. Could it be (perish the thought) compassion or sympathy?
These thoughts disturb both Lucifer and his best friend and confidante, Mazikeen aka Maze (Lesley-Ann Brandt). Maze is a fierce demon who’s taken the form of a beautiful young woman.
The murder outside the club attracts the attention of LAPD homicide detective Chloe Decker (Lauren German). She’s initially dismissive of Lucifer but she soon becomes intrigued by his talent for drawing out people’s secrets. Chloe also likes his desire to dispense justice, doling out punishment to those who deserve it.
As they work together to solve the pop star’s murder, Lucifer is struck by Chloe’s inherent goodness. Accustomed to dealing with the absolute worst of humanity, Lucifer is intrigued by Chloe’s apparent purity and begins to wonder if there’s hope for his own soul yet.
At the same time, God’s emissary, an angel named Amenadiel (DB Woodside), has been sent to Los Angeles to convince Lucifer to return to the underworld.
Can the Devil incarnate be tempted toward the side of Good — or will his original calling pull him back toward Evil?
Episode #93 — Partners ‘Til the End
Desperate to rescue Rory, Lucifer and Chloe confront her kidnapper with guns and wings blazing. Lucifer finally comes to terms with his purpose.
First aired: September 10, 2021.
What do you think? Do you like the Lucifer TV show? Should it have been cancelled or renewed for a seventh season on Netflix?
renew please
“A Good Day to Die’ is a game changer for our Luci. This show could go in any number of multiple directions from here on in. While we all have our opinions and we do know that what he has been looking for he has found it. We hope that he doesn’t toss it all away. We know that he is deeply wounded by the revelations made by Mom and like all wounded animals he has gone away to hide. If he were a little more introspective Luci would realise that Chloe’s feelings towards him weren’t manipulated by Dad. She… Read more »
I love Lucifer it can’t be cancelled
I would imagine that some of “A Good Day to Die” had to be rewritten because FOX ordered a 22 episode season on Oct 31 because the original shooting schedule was supposed to end at the beginning of December. If this episode had been a season finale the uproar from us fans would have been heard by anyone living in the outer solar system. The final scene gives plenty of scope for the writers to go in all kinds of directions.
LOVE Lucifer!!!!!!!!!
I would imagine that the new character to be introduced in the next episode will have a similar function to Maze as Lesley- Ann Brandt is pregnant and some of her action scenes will have to be reduced.
Always a surprise at how much I enjoy this show. The cast smoothly mixes a dramatic story w/ splashes of double entendre, tounge in cheek and a dash of bitters. Lots of fun.
“A Good Day to Die” was an epic episode with just the right amount of humour and pathos. The closing scene with Mom and Luci could be a cautionary tale for any parents who use children as weapons against each other . Mom got what she wanted which was to separate Luci and Chloe but she lost much more. She has so poisoned Luci’s and Chloe’s relationship that it will be quite some time before they get back to where they were in “Manhandles”. We already know that Luci reacts and doesn’t have much self retrospection in that while Dad… Read more »
I love this show. I can’t wait for season 3 to find out what happens to Cloe and Lucifer’s romance. Please don’t cancel this show.
The rest of Season 2 will be back on May 1/17
What would ruin Lucifer is if the writers put too much emphasis on the Luci- Chloe romance. It would reduce the show to just another boy meets girl. While I do think Luci and Chloe are the perfect match they do need some time away from each other and Luci needs to interact more with some of the other characters like Trixie. Personally I would prefer if the Luci-Chloe relationship develops slowly allowing both characters to learn more about the other. That being said their relationship cannot go back to what it was before “Stewardess Interruptus”. I would imagine that… Read more »
Please don’t cancel.love this show. To many shows are being cancelled. Getting tired of trying new shows just to watch them end.
Lucifer is brilliant television. Tom Ellis transforms “satan” to a decent guy and once one watches, one cannot get enough. If the plot line sours, get new writers. I need this TV show!
We can all relate to Luci as we can understand where he is coming from emotionally. He does deserve his happy ending with Chloe
Don’t cancel great show
I love this show… please don’t cancel
I love the whole show. Great ideas and great writing. Funny and has a serious moment for a good blend.
I think Lucifer will use his ring to transport himself back to Hell in order to get the antidote for the poison. While he may not mete out the punishment for Carlisle at the time Luci will probably go back and administer it. Hopefully Luci will soon realise that he is being manipulated by Mom and that what he has with Chloe is real. When push comes to shove Luci will choose Chloe and it’ll be interesting to see what other nefarious plans Mom comes up with. Chloe’s dream about Luci shows that she is aware at the unconscious level… Read more »
Please renew! This delayed showing, winter finale, etc. etc. etc. is making those of use who are fans very nervous. This season is a huge jump for the characters and story lines…it wouldn’t be right to destroy it so early. Can’t wait until Monday. 🙂
I can’t stop laughing at the opening scene in “Manhandles” with Maze eating popcorn and telling Chloe that she was watching the show. How do the writers come up with these ideas?
If the writers decide to pursue the relationship between Luci and Chloe I do hope they do it the old fashioned way. They get to know each other’s likes and dislikes by spending time together which is not work related. Luci also has to get to spend more time with Trixie. Loved the scene with Linda and Mom. The look on Linda’s face when Mom corrects herself when she begins saying Chloe’s name shows that Linda is one sharp cookie. I think it would be hilarious if all of Luci’s family ended up therapy with Linda. If Mom plans to… Read more »
