TV show description:
This horror black comedy series is based on the characters created by Neil Gaiman, Sam Kieth, and Mike Dringenberg for DC Entertainment’s Vertigo imprint. It’s the story of the original fallen angel — Lucifer.
Bored and unhappy as the Lord of Hell, Lucifer Morningstar (Tom Ellis) has abandoned his throne and retired to Los Angeles. There, he owns an upscale nightclub named Lux. Charming, charismatic, and devilishly handsome, Lucifer is enjoying his retirement, indulging in a few of his favorite things — wine, women, and song.
His bliss is disturbed when a beautiful pop star is brutally murdered outside of his club. For the first time in roughly 10 billion years, he feels something awaken deep within him as a result of this murder. Could it be (perish the thought) compassion or sympathy?
These thoughts disturb both Lucifer and his best friend and confidante, Mazikeen aka Maze (Lesley-Ann Brandt). Maze is a fierce demon who’s taken the form of a beautiful young woman.
The murder outside the club attracts the attention of LAPD homicide detective Chloe Decker (Lauren German). She’s initially dismissive of Lucifer but she soon becomes intrigued by his talent for drawing out people’s secrets. Chloe also likes his desire to dispense justice, doling out punishment to those who deserve it.
As they work together to solve the pop star’s murder, Lucifer is struck by Chloe’s inherent goodness. Accustomed to dealing with the absolute worst of humanity, Lucifer is intrigued by Chloe’s apparent purity and begins to wonder if there’s hope for his own soul yet.
At the same time, God’s emissary, an angel named Amenadiel (DB Woodside), has been sent to Los Angeles to convince Lucifer to return to the underworld.
Can the Devil incarnate be tempted toward the side of Good — or will his original calling pull him back toward Evil?
Episode #93 — Partners ‘Til the End
Desperate to rescue Rory, Lucifer and Chloe confront her kidnapper with guns and wings blazing. Lucifer finally comes to terms with his purpose.
First aired: September 10, 2021.
What do you think? Do you like the Lucifer TV show? Should it have been cancelled or renewed for a seventh season on Netflix?
I thoroughly enjoy this show. It entertains on many levels – humor, crime solving. I have laughed, I have teared up, I think it’s especially good.
love the cast and show. it is a well written script, just enough humor and thought provoking content…at least it makes me think.
please continue for many seasons
GREAT NEWS LUCI FANS. For our Valentine’s Day present Lucifer has just been renewed for Season 3.
The search for New ideas for tv shows seems laboured, but this was a terrific twist on a crime solving group. The writing will have to remain of the highest quality. If not the show will be destroyed. I had not heard of Tom Ellis, so his role as Lucifer is very believable. When his eyes turn red, I “know” he is the real Lucifer. I look forward to new episodes.
He played Gary on Miranda
Leave this show on Lucifer is the best show on for quite a while. Your always canceling shows that are good to watch. Let these worry warts change the channel. I have the same rights as they do.
Love this show! clever, good writing, funny, different. Please renew it.
I have not enjoyed a show as much as this since X Files! What a great twist for a ‘Cop’ show!
We know that 4 episodes are “stand alone” and the writers have hinted that one of them will be a flashback to Luci’s escape from Hell. I would imagine the episode “Mr & Mrs Mazikeen Smith” or “Toasty and Crispy” will be that one. It’s interesting that the murders are related to the theme of an episode and how each episode is connected to a previous one. I don’t think the writers are going to kill off any of the major characters as it is their interactions with each other that adds to the show. I like the way the… Read more »
I usually watch each episode a couple of times and each time I notice something else. Of our major characters Trixie and Mom haven’t yet met. We know that Trixie loves Maze, adores Luci, thinks Amenadiel is good so it’ll be interesting to see what the writers come up when Trixie and Mom finally meet. I can’t decide which would be more interesting: Trixie likes Mom or doesn’t like her. While Mom believes that Chloe is the key I think it is Trixie. I think the writers have a brilliant idea of their concept of Hell. It is right out… Read more »
I truly love this uniquely written show. The “dance” between Lucy and the dective is tantalizing and fun to watch! Please keep this show, as my other two favs “Bones” and “Grim” are going off the air.
In an earlier interview the producers and writers said in terms of the relationship between Chloe and Luci that they intend the friendship to be maintained even if the romance between them has its ups and downs. I think in the end Luci and Chloe will be permanently together. Looking at all the characters in the show so far Luci and Chloe are the perfect match.
Love this show is my top favourite.
And agree fully with the comment by Chris “the writing is original and outstanding and delivered to perfection by an entire cast of pure talent. I wait in anticipation every week for this show”

Leave this show on its great. Love the actors
this has to be one of the best shows in years. The writing is original and outstanding and delivered to perfection by an entire cast of pure talent. I wait in anticipation every week for this show, which is rare
This is the best show on Tv now! It offers lots of laughs, true emotion, crime solving as well as touching family and friend scenes! Each episode just gets better and better. The fans would love to see many seasons to come. Please renew for S3
In the final scene of “A Good Day to Die” even though Luci walked away from Mom I don’t think she is going to give up her machinations. I wouldn’t be the least bit surprised if Linda is her next target since Chloe, for the moment, is out of the picture.
By far the most innovative, refreshing TV series in years. To cancel this show would be criminal.
