TV show description:
This horror black comedy series is based on the characters created by Neil Gaiman, Sam Kieth, and Mike Dringenberg for DC Entertainment’s Vertigo imprint. It’s the story of the original fallen angel — Lucifer.
Bored and unhappy as the Lord of Hell, Lucifer Morningstar (Tom Ellis) has abandoned his throne and retired to Los Angeles. There, he owns an upscale nightclub named Lux. Charming, charismatic, and devilishly handsome, Lucifer is enjoying his retirement, indulging in a few of his favorite things — wine, women, and song.
His bliss is disturbed when a beautiful pop star is brutally murdered outside of his club. For the first time in roughly 10 billion years, he feels something awaken deep within him as a result of this murder. Could it be (perish the thought) compassion or sympathy?
These thoughts disturb both Lucifer and his best friend and confidante, Mazikeen aka Maze (Lesley-Ann Brandt). Maze is a fierce demon who’s taken the form of a beautiful young woman.
The murder outside the club attracts the attention of LAPD homicide detective Chloe Decker (Lauren German). She’s initially dismissive of Lucifer but she soon becomes intrigued by his talent for drawing out people’s secrets. Chloe also likes his desire to dispense justice, doling out punishment to those who deserve it.
As they work together to solve the pop star’s murder, Lucifer is struck by Chloe’s inherent goodness. Accustomed to dealing with the absolute worst of humanity, Lucifer is intrigued by Chloe’s apparent purity and begins to wonder if there’s hope for his own soul yet.
At the same time, God’s emissary, an angel named Amenadiel (DB Woodside), has been sent to Los Angeles to convince Lucifer to return to the underworld.
Can the Devil incarnate be tempted toward the side of Good — or will his original calling pull him back toward Evil?
Episode #93 — Partners ‘Til the End
Desperate to rescue Rory, Lucifer and Chloe confront her kidnapper with guns and wings blazing. Lucifer finally comes to terms with his purpose.
First aired: September 10, 2021.
What do you think? Do you like the Lucifer TV show? Should it have been cancelled or renewed for a seventh season on Netflix?
this is one show that has it all ,you would be crazy to cancel it
My husband and I look forward to watching this show. Please do not cancel. We love Lucifer’s character and personality.
I love this show! Please Please Please don’t cancel it!
Love the show; it’s different from the rest and devilishly intriguing!
I am a watcher as well my son and one of my daughters, for me I enjoy it cause hes just that bad putting it lightly yet wanting to do good and has good support from his theraphyst good people rule and the cast is geogious no matter were there from, gives abit of a schooling lesson as well, points that cannot be taken away,of course its a tv episode each week. yet its mysterious, mindblowing, leaving the audience like myself holding on,its a show that is fantastic, engergising and so much more the writters are brilent, do keep it on,and plus that would be my… Read more »
I happen to love this show. It is intriguing to see the fallen angel turning around from evil to good. Although I have missed the entire season since Oct I am excited to get caught up. Plz plz do not cancel this show. I’ve even gotten my hubby hooked!!!
It’s been renewed for Season 3. “A Good Day to Die” is an epic episode in so many ways. It’s the turning point for our characters, especially the celestial ones. It’ll be interesting to see if Mom continues her manipulations or if she has actually learned something As for Chloe and Luci things can’t go back to the same way they were before “Stewardess Interruptus” but I think there will be a pause on their romance. Luci at some point is going to have to be completely truthful with Chloe regarding Charlotte. If the remaining episodes are like the last… Read more »
Absolutely love this series. Keep it going!
I love the premise of Lucifer being an inside view of religion (an adult child with daddy issues), the problem of evil (pesky humans), and what it means to be vulnerable (defenseless in the face of a relationship with a human being). I am looking forward to season 3.
The meddling mom (Mrs. God) is scary funny.
And yet it is the humans, especially Linda who are the moral compass for our celestial beings. It’s interesting that it is Linda who brings Mom back from the dead and picks her up from the floor. We can really sympathise with Luci’s plight in that he loves her but rescues her from Hell. .
“A Good….Die” could be subtitled “A Second Chance at Redemption”. Each of our celestial characters has been given a second chance and we can’t wait to see what they do with it. We know that Mom really loves her son but her manipulations have convinced Luci that it is a sham. We know what choices she will have to make and the question is will she. It’s going to take some work to repair the mother-son relationship. Amenadiel has been Mom’s willing accomplice but at some point he is going to have to make some decisions as well: does he… Read more »
I love love love this show!! It’s hilarious! It’s thought provoking! I love the portrayal of a regular guy struggling to do the right thing. Ironically, as the devil, he has done good by his “friends”. When horrible things happen, don’t we all say “why GOD?” Heck I even switch the channel from Bachelor to watch it. It’s way better!
“Lucifer” is a show that works on so many levels. While it addresses many issues we aren’t hit on the head with the proverbial sledge hammer.
Please keep Lucifer in production. If people don’t like it based on their personal interpretation of a fictional character that many of us love the spin on it reflected in the series as some how against their “morality” then may I suggest they change the channel.
Lucifer has been renewed for Season 3
Please keep this series. It is not a run-of-the-mill romcom or sitcom. The characters are true to this life because every human being has a little devil and a little angel in either her or him. The actors are perfectly cast and the story line is not predictable, as in many police-action shows. It it on late enough on the East Coast so that children don’t need to watch it.
Lucifer is one of the most original cop show among all. With his dry wit and awesome accent he is the perfect leading man for beautiful Chloe. I have the show dates and times in my calendar with alerts so I never miss one episode (unless some other less interesting show is in its place!). Please continue to keep this show on air!!
It has been renewed for Season 3
Renew please! Love this show and cast!
On my cable TV provider Season 2 “Lucifer” is available until Sept 1/17. This shows the popularity of the show here in Canada as episodes for any series are available On Demand for a month after initial airing. After that the episodes are gone. “Lucifer” is a first. A perfect binge TV night: a bowl of popcorn and “Lucifer”.
If “A Good….Die” is any indication of what is to come then not only the rest of Season 2 but Season 3 is going to be fantastic.
Love this show. Please keep it on
